The game is great for a party, but NOT in the DVD version. It plays too slowly and ruins the momentum of the party. I would not buy the DVD version but try the standard game instead.

This is a really fun game to play with other couples, however the DVD is pretty slow and very manual. It does not run itself you have to click to get from screen to screen. If it was a little more automated it would be a lot more fun, bc there would be a lot less time sitting around waiting for the DVD to process. The actual couples from the TV game are quite entertaining though!

But, just to let you know, this game is NOT an updated version just because it is on DVD. The questions are from the 60's or 70's which I was a little disappointed. But, It's still fun!

After reading some reviews about how the DVD made the game move very slowly, I was hesitant to buy it. But, it was so cheap that I figured, 'what the heck?' and got it anyway. I'm glad I did! This game was a lot of fun! We played with three couples total, and the 'slowness' of the DVD was fine --YOU'RE in control of it, so we progressed as quickly or as slowly as we wanted. We learned a lot about our mates as well as the other couples we played with. I'd buy it again - especially at this price! (under $10)

I bought this to play at my annual couples Valentine's Day party. The first year we played it as it came & we all hated it. Very dorky video & the questions were not good or funny. So, the next year, I followed the format of the game & made up my own questions & it was a riot. We laughed so hard we cried & some of the couples got into little "tiffs" over each other's answers just like the couples on the actual show. If you already have an idea of how to play the Newlywed game, don't waste your money.

WE PLAYED THIS GAME WITH 3 COUPLES AND ALL OF US ENJOYED IN VERY MUCH WE LAUGHED THE WHOLE TIME IT WAS A VERY ENJOYED GAME FOR ALL.

It's simply an aweful item. I bought it brand new, with no scratches, but the disc behaved like I had scratched it up terribly. It would skip all over. We could never finish a game because it would just return to the main menu after half way through any game. Maybe I just got a faulty disc but if not, the item is terrible.

The game itself is nice and easy to follow on the TV. But the boards that you write on are no good at all, the markers have bearly any ink in them and it's so hard to clean the boards once you write on them.

I'm not sure how anyone could repeatedly read the word 'classic' being associated with this game..."classic couples game" "...against classic couples from the show" and so on - and then feel duped that the game is based on the original Newlywed Game. It is clearly stated in the Product Features to be hosted by Bob Eubanks. There are 30 couples to choose from - each couple is a new game - though some of the questions are similar from game to game - there is no reason why a functioning DVD game would last for only five plays. The questions and clips are straight from the series - if you are familiar with the show, read the description, and received a fully functioning game - there should be no surprises. It's an awesome game that opens the door to some serious conversations, but keeps the mood light and fun. When we play we both write our answers on the white boards - and make it as G or R rated as we feel like - we've never played with other couples - just against the TV ones, but they keep us plenty entertained!

Great product... Planning on playing this at my bridal shower in a couple of weeks ( it's a co ed shower)
