This Spill and Spell Game is a fast-paced game for crossword puzzle lovers or anyone who enjoys words. Spill the 22 letter dice onto the playing surface and start the 1-minute timer. Put the letter dice together horizontally, vertically or intersect them to spell as many words as you can. Re-spill your leftover letters to keep going. Score points based on the number of words you spell and how long they are.
In this letter game, the object is to be the first to construct eight words from distinctive, lettered playing tiles. Each player picks a tile in turn, and those tiles go into a common "face-up" pool until a player can construct a word from them. Subsequently, players can try to construct a word from the pool or can also use opponents' words as material. There's a catch: you must use all
the letters from an opponent's word and in a different order. As you gain skill, you can make the game more difficult by determining a minimum acceptable word length. The wooden letter tiles are large--a full inch square--and are easy to read. --Richard Farr
