This is a classic! It's simple to play, but difficult to master. You and your opponent take turns giving your partner one word to try and get him or her to say the Password, with the point value decreasing for each clue given. Simple enough, right? Tons of fun. There's the great charge you get when you and your partner just seem to connect, and get the strangest words off of one clue. Good game for adults to play. Too difficult, probably, for most kids who are in junior high or younger because of their vocabulary. And the great thing about this game, is it's durable. As long as there's an English language, this game will be playable. (One thing, I don't like the plastic scoring clip you're supposed to slide along the box to keep track of the point value of each word. Milton Bradley used to use a scoring dial, which seems a little better. The clip may mark up your box too much if you're a collector.) Play the game, and you'll understand why so many big stars like Jimmy Stewart, Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Bob Crane, Bob Denver, and Jack Benny clamored to appear on the TV show.

How hard can it be to get your partner to guess a word using only a one word clue? HA! Harder than you think! That is what makes this game such fun to play. Game has to be played with 4 people. The scoring can be difficult to keep up with and I didn't care for the score pad design but the game is STILL worth it. Brings back memories of childhood watching the show.

People use the term "classic" far too much, but it fits here.Since 1961, this Bob Stewart (The $25,000 Pyramid) created game has been one of America's favorites. You get your partner to guess the "Password" based on single word clues that you give. Simple right? Not always. But when you click with your partner, you can't be stopped. Loads of fun for two or twenty people.

The game is very true to the original password, and has provided hours of great group fun. The only problem is that some of the words are so old as to be archane. We've found some not even listed in the dictionary!

Not only one of the all-time best game shows -- the 1960's B&W episodes with Allen Ludden air on Game Show Network -- undoubtedly one of the most literate and fun home games as well. How well do you know the English language? How is your vocabulary? You'll find out quick when you play Password!I inherited the fourth edition (the summary quote above is from the cartoon on the box) from my folks when I started school in 1976 and I got a new box in 1980. The contents in this current edition are almost exactly the same as the older editions, right down to the word viewers.

This game has generated laughs and entertainment for all members of our family, ranging in age from 5-55 years old. A simple, inexpensive, thought provoking game-thoroughly enjoyable.

This game is fun, can cause laughs but requires alot of thinking. I wouldn't suggest this game for people with small vocabularies.

Its not electronic. Its not complicated, but can be challenging and still make you laugh. It is just good game where you can sit around, play the game, have friendly competition, talk and have fun with family and friends. Highly recommend

During our last Thanksgiving gathering my grandchildren came across a Password game I used to play with their parents many years ago. They found it fun, but they had not heard of many of the words. Now we have an updated version to enjoy.
