I bought this to review various types of imaging of endocrine organs. Admittedly this is an old text at this point, but I bought it for a relatively cheap price (about $23).
The chapter titles are the following: Technique, Pituitary, Thyroid Gland, Parathyroid Gland, Adrenal Gland, Pancreas, Carcinoid, Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia, Testis, Ovary, Quantification of Osteoporosis, and Positron Emission Tomography in Endocrine Diseases. Most of the chapters start with an anatomy review with black and white clearly labeled illustrations. Then there are overviews of different imaging types related to the chapter, including some normal images followed by abnormal examples with accompanying text. The images are all black and white except for in the last chapter. I have only had the book for a short time and I have already found a few obvious typos in some of the captions. The abnormal image examples are limited to the most common problems, which I guess would be expected for a short book on a relatively broad topic.
Overall, this book is ok for a brief overview of imaging related to endocrine disease, esp for endocrine fellows, residents or medical students. It would be nice if more abnormal examples were included (ex, images of pituitary adenomas, craniopharyngeoma, and empty sella are available, but no images of infiltrative diseases of the pituitary).
