Editorial Reviews

Review

"This book provides a concise discussion of endocrine physiology. First, there is a general discussion of hormone action. Next, individual chapters are devoted to each hormone system. Finally, there is a discussion of endocrine aspects of energy and electrolyte balance....This easy-to-read and concise discussion of endocrine physiology is particularly well suited for medical students with an interest in endocrinology and for students studying for the Step 1 USMLE examination. 3 Stars."--Doody's Review Service (Doody's ) --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

3.0 out of 5 stars Endo physiology from the start, November 2, 2008

This review is from: Endocrine Physiology (Paperback)
Before you read my thoughts you need to know that i am a senior medicine resident interested in Endocrine. This book is a good study companion if you are studying for the USMLE step 1 or if you are a 2nd year student and want more in depth knowledge of Endocrine Physiology. If you are a part of these 2 classes this book is surely the best for you.
If you want more than that don't buy it. Consider Washington Manual Endocrinology subspecialty consult as a cheap choice or a textbook like Williams Endocrinology

This was a nice compliment to my general physiology textbook for clinical A&P in CRNA school. It prepared me well for test and also used as a reference for later.

2.0 out of 5 stars too many errata to count!, April 24, 2006

I don't know about this one....maybe if it came with a book of corrections! I don't really recommend it, unless you enjoy reading books with a bunch of errors.
