they are some weird mix of weezer, screeching weasel, and maybe even the beatles. they play some of the best pop punk that i have ever heard, and in 2 years, when everyones jumping on the gamits bandwagon, you can say you were on the ground floor.

If you're wondering why all my reviews are many stars it's because I only review stuff that I REALLY like. Anyways this is incredible, picture a combination of Pinkerton Weezer and Green Day. So buy it now, my mom likes it, homies at my work like it, my ex girlfriend's little brother likes it. YOU'LL like it.

According to Merriam Webster's Dictionary, there is no such thing as a "gamit." Does this mean that the band that has had their songs lodged in my head for the past few weeks is merely a figment of my imagination, and I will never get to see them live? I sure as hell hope that's not the case, because this band rocks. Hailing from Denver, Colorado, this three-piece is doing quite the fine job of putting the "rock" back in "punk rock." They have a good blend of Green Day, Weezer, and The Queers as well as insightful lyrics and kickass musicianship. In short, it's really, really good stuff. If I could find my thesaurus, I'd rave even longer. Anyways. Standout tracks are:"Last of the Mullets," a rarity in punk rock because A)it is almost 5 minutes long and B)it is *good*. "And You For Me," the ideal slow dance for a punk rock prom. "Sorry Song," which could pass as a Weezer track if it didn't have that little smidgen of ferocity in it. "Hookless," which is anything but.

The Gamits were a local Denver band in the late 90's through about 2005. I saw every show these guys played for the first two or three years they were around. Nothing like em. They basically fall into the punk/pop punk genre, but they are a lot better than most in this catagory. One of my favorite bands/albums of all time.

The gamits are my homies...we're both from Colorado and I see them a lot. Their bassist is a cool guy to talk to. They play a ... awesome live show...everyone is singing and stage diving and moshing. Whew its fun. Anyways, this CD is one of my favorites...the Gamits really are talented and worth checking out. Actually, I think that their first EP, This is My Boomsitck and their newest EP (which I have but won't be released till late September) A Small Price to Pay are a little better. They just kicked off a tour with another awesome CO band, the Fairlanes, so go see them. They play really really well live. Support them, cause they are gonna be big. ...

extremely average pop punk,

when i first heard this CD i thought it was just plain AWFUL! If i had reviewed it the second after i first heard it I would have given it a 1. But after listening to it more i came to realize that it's not that bad you just have to let it grow on you after a while. Now the actual band, the Gamits, have a lot of talent and I am sure they have a big future in front of them and eventually they will release a 5 star album. This is nothing more than an average debut album
