This review is from: Endovascular Skills: Guidewire and Catheter Skills for Endovascular Surgery, Second Edition, Revised and Expanded (Hardcover)
As a vascular trainee and thrown into the deep end, it was important to get a grasp of the basics in equipment and techniques. This book has provided that and is quite comprehensive in the techniques covered.
The only downside, and understandable in this rapidly expanding field, is that not all the latest equipment is mentioned and there is not much in the way of EBM in explaining what devices or approaches to use in what situation. However, as mentioned, this book does the job well in giving you the basics of what wires, sheaths, stents etc are out there, access techniques and other pointers so what you're in angio suite you know what you're doing. Almost as good as hearing the author in person!!!
