A gratifying musical experience,
By

When I first heard about Longwave I built up a rather extraordinary expectation of what they might sound like. Upon receiving the album I was confused and not particularly happy with my purchase. Later that night I decided to give it another listen while riding my bike home from work. Not only did my opinion of the music change but my expectations of the band had disappeared and were replaced with a non-judgemental approach to their work (somethimes you just have to allow the music to speak to you). I found (and still find) great lyrics and great music. Some of the concepts that are being used are brilliant and thought provoking in a reflective, life-affirming way. I look forward to more in the future from Longwave

Actually, the title pretty much says it all, guitar in the style of Paul Reynolds from the 80's new wave rockers A Flock of Seagulls combined with some catchy songs and there you go.

if you get a chance to them live do so, they put on the best live show i have seen in a long time. the album is just as good with layer upon layer of guitars and some of greatest hook lines that you wont be able to get out of your head. comparing them to anybody jsut doenst work but if i had to i would say radiohead with john lennon and david bowie. just buy it and turn it up to 10 and get ready to rock.

well this band is certainly one to look out for. the rhythm section kicks a** and moves the groove along like a train on fire. the instruments sound like a crew of thousands pumping along to a glorious finish. when this band comes to your town check 'em out in the fleah...you'll be damn glad you did.

Just found these guys. I caught them touring with The Strokes and yummy... what satisfaction. They have an EP and a single that was just released in the UK. If you get a chance to see them in person... you will be happy you did!I can't wait for the next release. Give it to me! Kitty

Longwave holds a timeless reality not often found on an debut effort. The in your face lyrical onslot of Pretty face, to the sonic finish of make me whole. There has not been an album of such distinction an prestige released in the states for some time now. I highly recommend anybody with any taste for a fresh band with tons to offer now and in the future please pick up this disc without hesitation.
