These were the only soft boiled egg spoons I could find, so I bought them. Apparently not many Americans eat soft boiled eggs! They work like a charm, were inexpensive, and hold up well in the dishwasher.

You wouldn't think it would be hard to find spoons for soft boiled eggs. You have to find those spoons that fit after you use the egg caper. Not all that easy. These are the ones... At a resonable price.

These are not only the best egg spoons, but I use them for soooooo many other purposes. They are terrific as serving spoons for jellies, great as a sugar spoon, and they are perfect as demitasse, capuccino, and latte spoons. I use them all the time, for so many serving needs. Very versatile, attractive, and good quality. One caution: owing to their small size, be careful not to lose them down the sink's garbage disposal!

I've fallen love with soft-cooked eggs all over again with these perfect egg-spoons.

I think the photo's are a little misleading as by the appearence I was expecting at least a medium weight stainless steel, while it is actually thin, making it less comfortable to handle and less comfortable in the mouth.

The shape of these spoons makes them practically useless for me. Part of the problem, as a previous reviewer noted, is the thinness of the metal. There's also something strange about the shape of the spoon, its edges, and its contours that makes it very uncomfortable to use.

I think the problem boils down to this: the edges of the spoon are too sharp. Not so sharp that they'd cut you or hurt you, but sharp in a way that makes eating with the spoon uncomfortable. If I run a finger down the length of the handle, through the bowl, and off the edge, there's a definite sharp scraping that makes my finger tingle. My guess is that because the metal is so thin, it's difficult to have a nice rounded edge because that would require filing down deeper, which isn't possible with a thin metal. This sharpness is most problematic on the bowl of the spoon, and, to a lesser extent, on the handle.

People who have used my spoons have varying opinions, so whether this is an issue is certainly subjective. In my opinion, these are too sharp, are clumsy to use and hold, and don't seem well-designed. But having said that, since they're so cheap and opinions are so mixed, there's little harm in trying them out. If they don't work out, you can do what I've done: demote the spoons to small jar-scraping spoons, a task at which they excel, so it's not a total loss.

Good quality spoons that are basic and go with any other flatware pattern. Nicer than I expected for the price and very fast shipping.

I bought these in conjunction with the Endurance Stainless Steel Egg Topper. The spoons are a nice fit for the hole the egg topper makes, and it's really easy to scoop out a soft-boiled egg without making a mess. Wish I'd has these 20 years earlier!

I have used these spoons twice since they arrived, and like them very much. They are not thick, but seem well made. They're very smooth, and would tend to blend with a wide variety of other place settings.

My opinion for the previous critical reviews:
1. The shape of the spoons is not awkward.
2. The stainless steel is not too thin.
