This sound track shows the beauty of anchient and historical nation of Ethiopia. It takes you to the world of wonders and paradize. Offcourse the music stresses the harsh and the struggle of life in East Africa specially Ethiopia. I have been there so I know the beauty as well as the misery of Ethiopia. By any standard, this is the most civilized and dignified nation I ever visited. Enjoy the sound track of Engurance!

In the tradition of soundtracks like Power of One and Lion King, this CD captures a lot of how I experienced Africa: stunning in its beauty and purity, immensly alive - at times very energetic (track# 2 makes you want to run!), at times sad, or melancolic, but always closer to life than we can imagine. Take your time to listen to this CD, and maybe try Ethiopian food once, too!

This is a great, touching soundtrack. the movie was good, too

Whenever I listen to this soundtrack, I always think I am still in Ethiopia.

I saw the movie a while back, twice. Great. But now traveling in Ethiopia the music rings true and generates wonder! Great music with or without the film!

There are just a few soundtracks that indeed have a certain strength to inspire and move people whenever they are listened to. This masterpiece of John Powell and Africa surely is one of them. If you are looking for the best tunes that Africa has to offer - this should be your choice. The Main Title is a masterpiece in itself, bringing the tribal song and modern orchestrations in a joyful melody celebrating the inner power of an individual with a dream. It shows us that the strenght we have is endless and that no obstacle is capable of stopping us if we belive in ourselves. The best track in my opinion here is "The Final Race" where it all builds up to a grand finale with some of the Main Title parts. It just rocks. This is why you should buy this album.
