I looked around for a silver caviar server, undone by too many images of belle epoque spreads where women in silk gowns and men in smoking jackets sip on something exquisite and eat caviar from elaborate, impossibly expensive servers. I had to face the reality of my budget, which was about $40 including shipping, so I went the way of a more modern, practical solution. This little server is adorable, updatded and not ostentatious at all, and paired with the two mother-of-pearl spoons I purchased separately, allows me to serve caviar in an undistracting and elegant way. Go for it - and let your caviar - and not its vehicle - shine.
