5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for people with dry eye problems!
I bought the Onion Goggles to keep my eyes from drying out excessively. I have Sjogren's Syndrome--the body attacks the saliva and tear producing glands. The dryness that this causes is painful--the eyes will even get stuck to the eyelids. Even though I put artificial tears in the eyes all day and night, it is still not enough. When the pain is too much, I put drops in...

I'm sure the onion goggles are great for those whose face fits nicely under the seal. Mine doesn't, so I called the product provider, Touch of Europe, Inc. Their recording stated that they were extremely busy and that I'd receive faster service if I emailed them. I did and still haven't heard back from them. It's been nearly two months.

The dryness that this causes is painful--the eyes will even get stuck to the eyelids. Even though I put artificial tears in the eyes all day and night, it is still not enough. When the pain is too much, I put drops in the eyes and then I put on the Onion Goggles and I can go for hours without having to put in drops! I admit that I look like Snoopy the WW1 Flying Ace in them, but I don't care. And yes, they are fantastic not only for chopping onions, but for protecting the eyes from the fumes of cleaning fluids, wind, dust, and smoke.

What a great invention!! I used to cry and tear when I would chop onions, now I am totally tear-free!!! I might look a little silly when I wear them but that's okay, I can handle the giggles from my family!!

I used to hate chopping onions because I would cry every time. With the onion goggles, no more tears. They work very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars These Glasses Work!, January 14, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Onion Goggles, Black
When I purchased these glasses as a stocking stuffer for my husband and daughter, my husband was dubious about my purchase, but after using the onion glasses 1 time he changed his tune. The glasses work!!! My daughter loved the fact that she had "cool glasses" which stopped her tears when cutting onions.

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks goofy, but works, January 9, 2012

I bought this for my wife (at her request) for Christmas. It's not really something I would recommend other guys buying as a gift unless it was requested, but in this case, it worked out just fine. She had always complained about her eyes when chopping onions and these took care of the problem. She's happy, she cooks, I'm happy. Direct correlation there right?!

Hope ya'll are doing well

The onion's tear causing power is useless when one breaths through their mouth when working with onions. Try it. It works.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, but..., December 14, 2011

Whoever came up with this idea is brilliant! However, for the millions of us who wear prescriptions, they won't work. I wish they'd design ones like the sunglasses that fit over glasses so we'd be able to get some relief as well. sigh...

I bought these goggles for a friend's wedding shower. I've owned a pair for over a year and they work like a charm. I can cut 3-4 large onions in a row and not shed a single tear. Even better, no burning eyes. They're just ridiculous enough to be cute.
