A PAINFUL PAST

Hanna Kessler’s childhood secret has remained buried for over two decades. But when the dark shadows of her past threaten to destroy those she loves, Hanna must face the summer that changed her life and the man who still haunts her memories.

A RACIALLY-MOTIVATED KILLER

As a Crimes Against Children FBI Agent, Michael Parker knows what it means to get knocked down. Difficult cases and broken relationships have plagued his entire year. But when the system fails and a white supremacist is set free, Michael’s drive for retribution eclipses all else.

A LIFE-ALTERING CHOICE

A racist’s well-planned assault forces Hanna and Michael to decide between executing vengeance and pursuing justice. The dividing line between the two is the choice to heal. But when the attack turns personal, is justice enough?

Editorial Reviews

Review

Enduring Justice is a dynamic and powerful installment to the Defenders of Hope series. Amy Wallace has crafted an engaging, tense story of racial hate, repressed pain, and redeemed lives. Enduring Justice is a great read!”
–Mark Mynheir, homicide detective and author of The Night Watchman

“In Enduring Justice, Amy Wallace has done what few writers can. She’s given us a realistic portrayal of life, while finding hope in the despair. Pay attention to this one. She’ll be around for a long time to come.”
–Brandt Dodson, author of White Soul and Daniel’s Den

“Amy Wallace writes spine-tingling prose. Prepare for plenty of adrenaline spikes as Enduring Justice races relentlessly from crisis to crisis. Wallace seamlessly blends the characters’ personal triumphs and tragedies with a time bomb of a domestic terrorist plot that threatens the core liberties of the nation.”
–Jill Elizabeth Nelson, author of Reluctant Burglar and Evidence of Murder

“If you love breath-stealing suspense, unforgettable characters, and remarkable spiritual depth in your fiction, Enduring Justice is a book to savor. Amy Wallace is at her best with this poignant, grace-filled addition to her deeply satisfying Defenders of Hope Series.”
–Claudia Mair Burney, author of Wounded: A Love Story

“Amy Wallace packs an emotional punch in her new novel, Enduring Justice. She deftly confronts the shame and horror of child abuse by opening up the bruised psyches of its victims. Yet she also finds a way to take readers inside the emotional struggles of FBI agents sworn to bring the perpetrators of this most shameful act to justice. Wallace has penned an unforgettable novel that won’t soon be forgotten.”
–Nancy Mehl, author of Cozy in Kansas, Ivy Towers Mystery Series

“The third book in Amy Wallace’s Defenders of Hope series is the crème de la crème! Enduring Justice is another mulilayered FBI suspense novel that will keep you hanging on to your seat until the last page. While struggling with the fine line between revenge versus justice, Michael Parker learns to rely on God while the storms of life are raging. Amy does such a beautiful job in bringing her characters to life that you feel like part of the family. I look forward to more of Amy Wallace’s books!”
–Lori Kasbeer, Christian Women Online magazine

More About the Author

I grew up all over the world, moving every three years of my life. But home for me was Louisville, KY. That's where my family always transitioned to for a time and where I graduated from high school and college. What moved me from Louisville to Georgia was a gorgeous blue-eyed missionary named David. We met and married in ten months time and started a whirlwind romance that has been much like a supersonic roller coaster. Fourteen years and three precious children later, we're still learning how to love well and enjoying the days we get it right.

I'm also a homeschool mom, author, speaker, and avid chocoholic. I love crafting high-action suspense that delves deep into heart issues, but who I really am can be summed up in a few short words: I'm a daughter of the King learning to live and love with laughter. I'm the author of the Defenders of Hope series: Ransomed Dreams, Healing Promises, and Enduring Justice, a contributing author of God Answers Mom's Prayers, God Allows U-Turns for Teens, Chicken Soup for the Soul Healthy Living Series: Diabetes, and A Cup of Comfort for Expectant Moms. 5.0 out of 5 stars extremely dark and gritty, April 17, 2009
This review is from: Enduring Justice (Defenders of Hope Series #3) (Paperback)
Twenty years ago, the ugly incident that still haunts Hanna Kessler occurred. She somewhat walled it way, but recent events have made her realize what a lie she conveniently made for herself.

Crimes Against Children FBI agent Michael Parker struggled emotionally with the cases he has worked; even the trauma specialist offers him little help though he religiously attends their appointments. His current case involves a white supremacist who escaped the justice system. With an Asian child snatched he realizes his beloved Hanna's past has caught up with them as she is in the crosshairs.

This is not an easy read as the third Defenders of Hope inspirational thriller (see RANSOMED DREAMS and HEALING PROMISES) is extremely dark and gritty as pedophile and racial hate crimes take center stage. The story line grips the audience as time is running out to save a child. At the same time, Michael wants to execute justice so the perp cannot fall through the cracks. He and a hurting Hanna may be in love, but their future together looks grim unless they can heal; only God can help them achieve this, but neither seems ready to embrace the Lord as each feels deserted instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hold You Are in For a Ride!, April 30, 2009
This review is from: Enduring Justice (Defenders of Hope Series #3) (Paperback)
Hanna Kessler has been running away from a secret that happened over 20 years ago. She has managed to keep her secret but with recent past events and a new case, her brother, Steven and boyfriend Michael are working on, it threatens to bring all her secrets into the light.

Michael Parker, Crimes Against Children FBI agent, is recovering from his last assignment, when a new case emerges of a missing white supremacist who kidnaps an Asian child. While trying to solve this case, Michael comes face to face with Hanna's past.

This is the third book in Amy Wallace's Defenders of Hope series (see Ransomed Dreams and Healing Promises). Enduring Justice is another multilayered FBI suspense novel that will keep you hanging on to your seat until the last page. While struggling with the fine line between revenge versus justice, Michael Parker learns to rely on God while the storms of life are raging. Amy does a beautiful job in bringing her characters to life that you feel like part of the family. I look forward to more of Amy Wallace's books!

3.0 out of 5 stars Edgy Fiction, April 27, 2009
This review is from: Enduring Justice (Defenders of Hope Series #3) (Paperback)
christian fiction, series, suspense, washington dc, racism, photography, fbi, white supremacist, pedophile, child abuse

"Hatred is one of the themes in this novel. Because of her past, Hanna Kessler hates herself; she wrongly blames herself for all of the bad things that happen to those around her. Michael Parker hates his father for his abusive childhood. Sean Haines, a white supremacist, hates so thoroughly that those parts of the novel make for especially tough reading. Child abuse and racism are difficult topics. This is edgy fiction.

I found the pace slow from time to time. The characters are one-dimensional and not believable. Still, the book will be a good one to read, especially for those who read the first two in the series. All loose ends are neatly tied up. Some mild profanity. Discussion questions are included."
