This book is probably one of the best books about horses and riders. I love how the author drags you into the book so you feel like you're in it. This whole series I would suggest reading!!!! This is a really really really really etc. good book to read!! If you think you will be wasting your time reading it then you're wasting time waiting! :)

Best Enemies is Great!!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Best Enemies (Canterwood Crest) (Paperback)
I thought this book was awesome!
The main character is Sasha Silver, she, in the previous books had a huge crush on Jacob Schwartz (the Zac Effron cutie) but Sasha had a few enemies and they(the enemies) broke up Sasha and Jacob before they even actually started dating. (it was kinda Jacob's fault too) And Sasha was a little upset for a few books but then she realized there was another boy (her BFF Eric) she really liked a LOT bettter and Eric had had a crush on Sasha since they'd met a year before...so needless to say that at in book 4 Triple Fault they were bf/gf. So anyway in Best Enemies Eric and Sasha are sooo happy and Sasha's BFF is with Jacob and everyone is happy...or so they thought... And amidst all of this Charm(Sasha's horse) and Sasha are out to win competitions and get on the YENT. (Youth Equestrian National Team) And there is SO much more I could tell you about these books but then I'd ruin 'em Get the Canterwood Crest Series!

Sasha and her team are about to compete for a spot on the YENT team. They're desperately trying to practice as much as possible, but also attempting to balance school (including finals), friends, and boys. Now that the secret's out, Eric and Sasha gear up for their first date at the movies. They run into Jacob and Callie, where awkward vibes ruin their chances at ever double dating. Eric and Sasha can't even make it through the movie without wanting to chat with each other. since they've moved from friends to a couple, sitting in silence doesn't work for them. But Sasha's about to get the surprise of her life as they move their date somewhere else. Sasha's trying hard not to freak out too much about the competitions and keep a level head when it comes to school work and also Jasmine. Jas spends her time trash talking the rest of the team and playing mind games. Sasha can't help rise to the bait a few times, but will she let Jas get into her head on the big day? Will Sasha be spending the summer at a grueling training session with YENT or back home at her small town stables?
The fifth book in the series adds more drama, romance, and friendship gets back on track with the reuniting of Sasha and her BFF. I adore the first date scene - including the prep time for the date. I'd love to go to this school - but I might not like dealing with Heather and Jas. A great series all around - pure entertainment with super cute covers.

My daughter is 11 and loves to read this series. She has horses, but I'm sure it would be great for any girl who is into horses, even if they don't have their own. Actually, I think she likes the drama more than the parts about riding anyway!

My daughter just loves these books. They have a nice storyline and continue on to the next book. She loves to read and goes through these books way too fast for me. Because now I have to buy the next 2 books.

This book was so good and one of my favorites of the series. It has a lot of drama just as the rest of the series. But this series is one of those I-can't-put-it-down and I-gotta-see-what-happens kind of series. ~ Joannah

High Stakes,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Best Enemies (Canterwood Crest) (Paperback)
The stakes are high. The YENT is fast approaching, and finals are the next week. Competition is fierce, and with Jasmine at Canterwood, who knows what will happen? She is up to no good, thats for sure. Will Heather and Sasha have to make a truce and set Jasmine straight?
I wish I had known how much fun it would be to read this before I purchased. If I had, I would have pestered my poor mother much more to get it for me. I am so grateful she gave in. It was a great addition. The only thing I have that wasn't so good is that Sasha seems a bit superficial in this one. I wish she was a bit more "real", shall we say. But anyway, I love the book. |
