From the Author

In the words of Harrison Ford, "I'm attracted to a character who is pretty ordinary at his core but finds the courage to do what needs to be done." These words describe how many people feel toward their favorite characters in any great suspense novel. Readers looking for a modern suspense novel will find my work a welcome change from the re-warmed leftovers on bookstore shelves. Written from a reader's perspective, my work exemplifies best-selling fiction with a plot anchored by interesting characters caught up in dire circumstances beyond their control. Page turners from start to finish, my work appeals to a broad audience of men and women, young and old, who enjoy a fast-paced book with adventure, mystery, passion, and suspense.

This reader is glad to have downloaded "Enemy Among Us" by Jason Melby. If you enjoy an in-depth novel about those who want to kill Americans and those brave individuals focused on preventing this from happening, then this novel is for you.
Melby does a fantastic job of unfolding a complicated story, which even in real life, terrorism today is very complicated. Melby gives us an inside peek at their tactics and creative evils, and this is done with realistic characters, excellent dialogue, and intricate details. It is very clear this author knows what he's talking about, yet he has the ability to break it down for us lay people.
I was impressed with the emotions, personalities, and heart of his main characters. The reader will quickly align with them, pulling for their victory.
The conclusion was suspense-filled with all loose ends tied up...however, I will check for the sequel since the stage is set. I highly recommend this top shelf novel.
"Great writing, Jason! Your talent and skill with words is evident. Keep writin' and smilin'..."

Enjoyed the book very much.

Especially enjoyed the interplay from hero and heroin. Not sure if they were going to get together in the end.

The author is from Melbourne, Florida which is where I also reside.

Who knows. Mayby I'll meet him someday. LOL

I will definetly get getting some of his other books to see if they are as good as this one was.

I recommend this book to anyone who like a good page turner.

This author did a great job of character development. He made them real enough that the reader cares what happens to them. The villain is smarter than anyone else, but the good guys keep trying and may or may not wind up victorious.

I was not ready for the book to end and I hope these characters live on in another book.

After about halfway through the book, I made a couple of guesses as to the ending and I was right. It's not particularly action-packed either. So it's by no means a page-turner, but it kept me entertained for a week I guess.

Fast-paced and action-packed. More importantly, the characters felt real. This book had twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. Highly recommended!

A very real world plot in today's environment. The characters are well defined and the action is fast paced. One wonders if there will be a follow on book with these characters.
