5.0 out of 5 stars Nooooooooooooo! It ended too soon! October 25, 2012
By James
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
After a small hiccup with the book I bought, which the author graciously corrected for me, I just finished reading it.

I must say I enjoyed it just as much as the first book of the series. In my opinion, too many sequels simply continuing the story without anything really new, as odd as that may sound.

But this one, while continuing the story, introduces new ideas, aliens and some "gee-whiz technology" which, again in my opinion, is what makes a sequel interesting and worth reading. I was so caught up in the story that the conclusion of the book was like running full speed into a brick wall. I wanted more, darn it!

The only thing that disappointed me is that I really, really wanted someone to backhand Sasha across the room. (Sigh) Maybe in book 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are just great books January 5, 2013

These are fun reads and they move very fast. There is just enough plot development and the characters are believable. I like the science, there are no major plot holes, and it all works out very well in the end. Really, there a lot of fun. I highly recommend.

It's not going to win the Nebula Award, but very well written and entertaining. Enjoyed this and the first book, looking forward to the third installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Series Continued March 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
With a series book such as this, of course if you are reading it, you liked and were caught up in the story and characters and wanted to follow to see what happened next. This book was as good as the others in the series and I enjoyed the read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good second book
More battles than sci-fi sometimes but the story definitely went in a different direction than expected. Sex as a military strategy, really?

More About the Author

I love science fiction, sci-fi movies, sci-fi novels, sci-fi stories, it doesn't matter I love them all and I can never get enough. I thrill to the movie special effects of space ships, aliens, and weird planets. I enjoy the mind twisting potential of time travel and the endless possibilities of the future. But Hollywood just doesn't crank out the movies fast enough, so I spend my time reading books and writing books. I like my science fiction stories to be based on science and my characters to be challenged with finding creative solutions to problems of survival, freedom, or justice. And most of all, I insist on action. That's why I always try to keep a fast pace in the novels I write.
I hope to always entertain the reader and give a few surprises as they immerse themselves in new worlds of adventure.
