Well, I pretty much said everything I had to say in my review title. I also love this Deep Purple album called "Who Do We Think We Are!" -- it rocks almost as much as this one, but not quite. Oneida is better than Deep Purple.

4.0 out of 5 stars a meaty snowball of rock, June 28, 2002

I just don't know what to think about Oneida. I think they really just want to make fun of all rock that came before. Here on Enemy Hogs they lampoon what could be southern rock and surround it with a screeching blanket of keyoards and a typhoon of mangled guitar that will clean out your system so you can pass that drug test the wrestling coach is making you take. I wouldnt pay too much heed to the words. But then again, with these guys, their next album could be spoken word!

5.0 out of 5 stars not the enemy!, November 22, 2002

the first four songs are a riot! this album is almost as good as "hey everybody lets rock"...oneida instills its songs with a rare emotion--fear. i dont mean that they try to scare you with iron maiden posters and stuff. the music itself is scary, but in a frantic not a spooky way. well done. i would comment on the individual songs but I couldnt read the liner notes very well. a caveat--if you dont like keyboards, you might not like this.
