Excellent Score,

The overall score was worth sampling and purchasing. Despite the inaccurate portrayal of the agency, its functions/duties, and capabilities, the soundtrack does incite certain moods and emotions that parallels the mentality of those who dedicate their life to serving in silence. Succinctly, this is worth listening to and can serve as an acoustic-motivational factor for any person pursuing intelligence endeavors for this country. In God We Trust, In All Others We Monitor. Jerry Bruckheimer scores another sixer,
By A Customer
This review is from: Enemy Of The State (Audio CD)
The success key to all Jerry Bruckheimer films is the brilliant music score. Stuff the songs. The score is what makes a film. Be it Hans Zimmer, Trevor Rabin, Mark Mancina or Harry Gregson Williams... The guy knows what'll go. Enemy of the state starts off with a perfect theme which gets you into the action mood, then takes you deeper into the emotional mood. Not very artistic, but it's commercial score at a very high level. Go Jerry Bruckheimer!!!

Enemy of the Score,

This is one of the absolute best movie soundtracks by Harry Gregson and Trevor Rabin. The music is a bit of rock and a alot of synth--most of there scores are. The Main Theme is the best. An awesome film, an awesome score. It is not as good as Con Air or The Rock. Nothing can get your heart throbing like music by Trevor Rabin and Harry Gregson-Williams. The tracks I like the most are Main Titles, Coal Yard and Brill's Theme. I enjoyed this album. Try The Rock, Con air, Metal Gear 2, The 6th Day, Spy Game and Gone in 60 Seconds.

Trevor Rabin + Harry Gregson-Williams = Best Score of 1998,

WOW! I'm a longtime fan of Zimmer and Media Ventures, and this is any MV fan's dream-come-true. From the same team that composed ARMAGEDDON, EotS is as synth-heavy and pulse-pounding as Armageddon and The Rock. It is slightly better than Armageddon, because Rabin finally refrains from using guitars. Here's looking to Rabin+Gregson-Williams in the future!

I don't really understand why every review here doesn't give this amazing score 5 out of 5 stars!! This is an amazing score to a great film-another Rabin success. He gives us some of his best theme work ever, almost beating out the Deep Blue Sea score.Anyone who enjoys amazing powerful & themeatic material should look into buying this one right away!! Thanks for reading!

More work needed,

This soundtrack is OK, good at best. The first track is good, with its strange electronic bursts that tun into music. But the Aramgeddon type theme in track one is short, and the theme after it bites.Track 2 is the best track for real music. It has a building melody that you can listen to repeatedly. 3 and 4 are nothin extrodinary. 5 is a good track with some genuine electronic action action themes that get carried away at the end. Nothing stands out for the rest of the CD, except for track 154 and the beginning of 15. If Trevor and Greg did well in Armageddon, why couldn't more effort be put into making strong themes with this one?

Strong themes, the rest is crappy,

EOS starts off very well, with four strong tracks to kick it off. Then it starts to fade into nothing but filler music. Often, the electronic sounds became inaudible. While listening to it, I did not notice that the tracks had even advanced at all. From 5-11, they all sounded the same! But... putting that into consideration, its worth a listen if you can find it cheap enough.

Harry Gregson-Williams and Trevor Rabin have put together a good solid exciting score for this excellent film. The former composer is particularly talented and deserves a listen!

This soundtrack is right in line with some other Bruckheimer greats--Crimson Tide, The Rock, Armageddon, etc. Great soundtrack. Very motivating and upbeat music

Good atmospheric music,
This review is from: Enemy Of The State (Audio CD)
To be honest, soundtracks are usually not my bag, since when there's all kinds of stuff going on on screen, the only music you can usually play in the back is soft atmospheric mood music. In a way, the Enemy of the State soundtrack is similarly atmospheric. So basically this isn't an album you will want to put on and listen intently to on headphones. While there are some individually attention grabbing tracks (tracks 1,2,5, and 9) the rest of it is kind of in the background, projecting a mood of quiet paranoia. Still, I find this the perfect CD to play while I'm surfing the internet or playing games such as Soldier of Fortune. It just makes me feel like I'm in the middle of an action movie, which I suppose is the highest praise one can give to a good action movie score.
