I am giving this only 3 stars. It's well done in terms of production values, and the band is certainly adequate, but it is certainly not what I would call "ENERGIZED". I have read all of this guy "Bluzman's" reviews (The other reviewer of this piece) and he is much more easilly impressed than I.(Although I agree with his assesment of how Johnny Winter has declined) I once saw some footage of Bernard doing a Stevie Ray instrumental and he was blazing, but not here. This DVD is a good buy in terms of content, as there are plenty of songs and several instrumentals, but he just doesnt take off with his leads. His lead guitar sounds are not very distinctive , nor is his playing innovative. There are so many players like this out there today. His vocals are good, it's just that for me, on this DVD, he is way too mediocre. If you want to see real blues greatness, buy the Robin Trower "Living out of time" DVD! Then you will see true sonic beauty. If you are a big fan of Allison dont liston to me, you , no doubt you will be happy with this piece. If you are a serious lead guitar nut, one who appreciates tone and content, check out the Trower, it's a whole different level of lead rock-blues. Now please give me a pro Jeff Beck gig!!!

I WAS VERY SAD WHEN LUTHER ALLISON PASSED AND HAD TO WONDER WHO COULD FILL HIS SHOES. HE WAS ONE OF A KIND WITH A VERY SPECIAL SPIRIT.LOW AND BEHOLD, HIS SON STEPPED UP AND IS NOW CARRYING ON WHERE HIS FATHER LEFT OFF.WHAT A BLESSING TO SEE THAT KIND OF ENERGY AND QUALITY PLAYING.AFTER VIEWING THIS DVD, I'M GOING RIGHT OUT AND BUY HIS FIRST DVD FROM 1999.THIS CONCERT KICKS HARD AND AT THE END HE SINGS ONE FOR HIS DAD.HONOR THY FATHER AND MOTHER I SAY AND IT'S RARE THESE DAYS TO HERE IT SO WELL PUT BY BERNARD. THE ALLISON FAMILY LIVES ON. ALL BLUES MUSIC FANS SHOULD BUY AND SUPPORT THIS MAN.........
