Watch the supplier of the batteries you order from
on October 24, 2012
The first thing you should know is that, when ordering batteries off Amazon.com, make note of what supplier of batteries you are ordering from. The item and the condition that it arrives in varies greatly between the merchants that Amazon allows to sell or supply products.
With this said, that is why reviews on batteries can vary greatly. Sometimes you will receive the item that in the photo along with batteries that have a shelf life that is several years in the future.
Other instances you may receive batteries that are in pop-out packets, shelf life dates that are either very close or past their expiration date, or batteries that are dead on arrival.
For myself, I received these batteries from Mel Pierce Camera. They were the batteries pictured in the photo and had a shelf life four years into the future. The last time I ordered them the supplier was BatteriesPlus. Those batteries had only two more months on their expiration date and showed up in an unmarked foil container.
In receiving the correct batteries, I noted that the Energizer batteries lasted a lengthier time than the no-name brand batteries that were carried in the product I ordered them for. There is something for actually ordering a name brand battery and paying that premium.
