Bought these for my lecture tape recorder and they last so much longer than regular alkaline batteries. Before I would carry a 4-pack as back up, but now I just carry 1.

I bought the AAA, which isn't pictured in the ad. Much cheaper buying it on Amazon versus the store!

Do you have an outdoor garage keypad, door lock? Get this battery. Ten year life span. Why be left in the cold when the opener in your car dies.

Energizer LA522SBP 9V Industrial Lithium Battery for Smoke Detectors Consumers Reports seems to find these to be the most economical and longest lasting of all the brands. I use them in hard to access and crucial devices ( smoke detectors, security devices etc). Can't attest to their longevity yet but unless their defective I'm sure they'll be fine. One note for some is that the 10 years means shelf life not in use life. That depends on the current draw of the device. If it's never on they'll last 10 years. If on it'll be less.

It's a 9 volt battery, bought it to put in a freeze alarm as recommended by the manufacturer. The voltage is higher than a regular 9 volt and seems to have stayed stable a lot longer than a regular battery. Its been reading 9.9 volts, where the regular 9 volt dropped to 8.2 volt within a few days. Lithium seems to last a lot longer at this rate.

I purchased this to replace the battery in my wireless alarm keypad by front door and it worked great.

Sometimes these are hard to find at stores because most sell regular ones but considering the old one it replaced (not same brand but still Lithium) was over 8 years old and it still worked, just almost out of power I say the few extra bucks was worth it.

I hope to see the prices go down a little more as if you add up the cost it prob comes to about the same as if I had to purchase a few of the regular ones to replace but saves the hassle of dealing with or remembering it as often.

I was very disappointed when I got this battery to find out that it was not exactly as pictured and not the same dimensions as typical 9 volt batteries and consequently would not fit in the intended device. It is slightly thicker and has squared off corners instead of being very slightly rounded like all others I've ever seen. I'm sure that some or most devices have lots of room for this battery but for those where the battery fits very snuggly..this one will not fit!! The picture of it does not show the things I am talking about so maybe this is a new design but if so it needs to be stated. I have seen Energizer make minute changes in their batteries before that rendered them useless in some devices. At that time when I called customer service at Energizer I got a very "smug" reply that they were just trying to make them "idiot proof" so they could not be installed improperly! After years of things being designed to fit around specific dimensions apparently they don't care if the consumer ends up having to go to other brands just to find something that still fits.

I have a lot of consumer electronics products like digital cameras that use AA batteries. The cost of replacing batteries was making them too expensive to use, and I was going to have to upgrade to products that use lithium batteries instead. But, now I have these AA lithium batteries, and I can keep using my old camera. Good find.

I bought this 10 year battery for my smoke detector. When I opened the package, it's expiration date is in 8 years??? What good is that?
