The 20 AA batteries arrived in a small white box and not in the Energizer packaging. The label on the box reads "new" The expiration date on the batteries is 06/14. We ordered the batteries in 08/14.

These batteries were mostly dead. I opened the package and the fact that they weren't even in a energizer package should have told me something. Seriously not impressed!

We bought a pack of these back in April this year just to keep as back up for all the stuff around the house that operates on AA batteries like a wall clock, remotes, garden solar lights etc.We usually buy a 24 pack of Duracell at Costco or Lowe's but batteries are expensive so we looked on Amazon and found these which are a well known brand. At around $11 for a pack of 20 and free shipping from Amazon it seemed a good deal. However when they arrived they were not housed in a sealed plastic propriety pack like we are used to buying but a strange little cardboard box with no official branding on the outside. It bothered us but we figured that's why they were so cheap.....the seller bought in bulk and used cheap packaging to save money. We really didn't need to replace any AA batteries in any of our usual devices for a few months and then I started using these NEW batteries. The one I put in the wall clock lasted a week before it started losing time. The 2 batteries we put in our Apple cordless mouse lasted a few days.In the end we got 4 batteries out of the 20 which seem to be normal like new and previously unused should be.Today we bought a 24 pack of Duracell AA batteries for about 14 bucks which is what we usually buy.Oh and I looked at one of the Energizer AA batteries still working that we received from this crook and the expiry date is 03/2019 but I don't think that matters diddly squat. So in the end I contacted Amazon and complained about the lousy batteries and they gave us a full refund. Thanks Amazon.

Batteries were ENERGIZER max and available at a great price. Expiration date was Mar 2023 which indicated a new battery. You can't go wrong with this deal.

These r the most pitiful batteries I've ever purchased. The date says 2024 but they go out right away. They come 4 in a small box but the boxes look damaged. For instance on the life of the battery--I have a back massager that is in my favorite chair--I use about 15 min a/m & p/m -I usually have to change the batteries every 3-4 mths--This last 4 dys I've had to change them 3 times (that is 6 batteries) My toothbrush is running down every week & I usually only changed batteries in that every 3-4 mths. I've had these batteries less than a mth & already used almost all THEY ARE HORRIBLE- Guess that is why they r cheap

Energizer batteries have good ratings and the price is usuallhy good (compare/shop sellers at each purchase.) For the commonly used sizes, it's always a better deal to get quantity delivered to your door. We've never had a problem w/receiving old or expired stock and we buy enough to keep us from having to re-shop/compare but maybe 4x a year.

Good price, last long time. Comes in a cardboard box, not energizer packaging. Great for Xbox controllers, that is what I use them for.

I'm disappointed. There were 4 batteries in sets of 5 instead of a package of 20 like I thought I saw in the picture. They're were not sealed and the label said it was copyright in 2010. A few came deformed. I read reviews before buying and I'm surprised at what I received. I just hope they work and last awhile and not been used before.
