Great Buy,

I think this product is really great. It saves you a ton of money if use batteries. You can put in the recharger in the socket with the batteries and leave it in over night. It won't get wrecked or anything. The recharger turns off after its done charging up the batteries. This is a great buy!

old school,

The nice thing about NiMH batteries is that you don't have to wait until they fully discharge to recharge them. The bad thing about this charger is that it only has one way of charging - 15 hours straight then it shuts off. Take my advice and get a charger that knows when to quit (then trickle charges while it waits for you).

I purchased this charger along with a few AA NI-MH batteries for my digital camera. While I've never timed how long it takes to recharge the batteries, I usually plug it in overnight and does a pretty good job. Even though I don't own any NiCd batteries, the charger is able to recharge those also, as well as 9V rechargables. My only complaint is that I'm often "closing" the bottom terminals to keep a tight grip on the batteries. They've never fallen off while recharging, but when you insert them, you get the feeling that they may fall off.
