I did not buy this at Amazon. I bought it at a retail outlet store. I recommend buying this at a store, because the adapter sticks out of the back of the package, and that allows you to make sure that the adapter will fit your phone.

The charger works well. It allows me to travel and keep my cell phone charged without keeping up with an adapter/charger for auto or home use; I need only have a fresh supply of AA batteries. This is particularly useful for extended vacations of several weeks, when a ready supply of AA batteries can be easily obtained from a local store.

Not only does it charge the battery, it can be used as a battery extender. It can be plugged into the phone, and supplies immediate engergy to be able to make a call, while still charging the phone's battery. It is small and portable, so that it is easy to continue using the phone while the charger is attached.

I stumbled upon this at Home Depot of all places, as I was checking out. Wouldn't expect a home improvement place to sell cell phone chargers, but I guess since they sell every battery imaginable, why not? This can be a real godsend in a pinch, if your battery dies in mid-conversation and you are in transit for example. For carless people like me it really comes in handy because we don't have the option of a car charger. I highly recommend it but make sure you have the right type for your phone. The package comes with the connector accessible so you can test whether or not it is compatible, but just the brand name should be sufficient.

Biggest complaint--it is not clear AT ALL which way the batteries go in. Usually it is very obvious, but in this case I was literally guessing and I did it wrong the first time. When you charge the phone the lights on the charger will blink and will stop when it is finished. If it isn't blinking probably the batteries are in wrong, unless they are dead. Also the device can get very warm while it is charging, but that doesn't seem to affect it. I don't use lithium batteries since I had many alkaline AA's at home and figured I would use those up first, but it seems to be OK so far. I am also not removing the batteries when not in use as it seems like too much trouble. Don't know if I can get more than 1 charge per battery set, but even if so it is still worth it.

Gave this to my sister as a gift... it is GREAT. She-who-loses-chargers-weekly can rely on this one as a backup. It's great for travelling and she can just throw it in the car. So far the battery life has been fine... but I sent extra batteries "just in case".

For anyone who inevitably leaves the car charger in the rental car and the wall charger in the hotel room this is a fantastic solution...

This product is great in a pinch, when you need power at the most inconvenient times for your phone battery to be zapped. It is not meant to be used daily or even to charge your battery completely, but instead as an emergency source of power. And for this, it is great. I used mine several times over a year's time (until I got a different phone), and it worked everytime.

Old school by most standards, this thing really works in a pinch, which is exactly why I bought it. The included adaptors did not fit my Samsung phone, so be aware.

I bring this one with me all the time, i travel a lot, so this works really good for me, i like an extra battery...

I received this as a free promotional item; it was pulled from a box full of these chargers. It had the mini usb to fit my phone.

The other end of the cord plugs into the battery case. It's similar to a headphone plug. It did not make internal contact.

The battery case is cheap plastic. China would be embarrassed to stamp their name on this. This was probably the failure point with the above cord.

Product did not work even with minor attempts to fix it. Threw it away, kept the free AA batteries.

Great idea, but cheaply made and did not work. I'd buy it for the listed $0.75, but only if you have free shipping. I'd pay $5 for it if they made it out of quality materials.

The Cell phone charger was a gift for my son, James. He's fifteen and constantly using his cell phone and he loves the charger. He keeps the charger in his back pack and is relieved to know that it's dependable when he needs it.

I bought this for my daughter as a stocking stuffer. The cord doesn't fit. I think I can make it fit with a little help from my dremel.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift, and was then surprised to learn that it only charges his phone once on a set of batteries. An Energizer customer service rep told me that that is totally normal. This product is nowhere near as useful as I had thought it would be, and I feel like I owe my husband another gift to replace this useless thing!
