So far, I love my new case. I tend to be a heavy user (texting, music & game playing) and so I usually have to recharge my iPhone by late afternoon. This new case has solved that issue. In the 2 weeks that I have had it, I have yet to have to recharge it during the day. When I plug it in at night, I like how the case allows the phone to charge first and then it charges the case.

I also like the way the case looks and feels. I used to have a silicon case for my old BlackBerry and I loved it. With this iPhone case, I get a nice black finish (very stylish) with the feel of silicon. And it's super thin (again like my old BlackBerry case).

I have no idea what the reviewer Jim is talking about. When I first got my iPhone 4, I definitely had the antenna problems that so many others were having, but I got my free bumper from Apple and the problem was solved. Since I have switched over to this case, not only have I not noticed any signal issues (aside from the usual ones created by AT&T), it seems that my signal strength may have improved. Now, I'm not sure if I am imagining the improved signal or not, but I do know that the case performs as well (if not better) as the Apple provided bumper that I was using before.

I ordered two; one for my wife, one for me. The positives: The case is not bulky or too heavy. It fits and protects the iPhone 4 well, and is no larger than most of the protective cases we already have. (I always carry my phones in a protective case.) If you start with a full charge on the phone and the case, you will have a very long use time, depending on what you're doing with it. I tend to do things that drain the battery such as playing 3-D games and using GPS apps such as using it as my bicycle computer and navigator on long rides. This will keep me from running out of juice in the middle of nowhere when riding weather returns.

The negatives: There is a button to push on a bottom corner of the case to see how much charge you have left. It also functions to put the case in "quick charge" mode, so if you are charging the phone while it's in the case, it will charge the phone first, then the case. Otherwise, it charges both at the same rate.

The button on my wife's case works. The button on mine does not.

I'm not going to send it back, because otherwise it charges properly and works fine, and I like it. I charge the case separately from the phone, so the quick charge mode isn't important to me. When I plug it in, the dots properly flash one at a time to show you how far the charge has progressed. (According to the instructions, there should be five lights, but there are only four.) I don't really need the button function to know how much charge is left. If you start with the phone and the case fully charged, the case will keep feeding the phone, so the phone will continue to read 100% charge until the case is drained. Then, you will have the normal expected phone charge left.

This beats the little back-up batteries which plug into the end of the phone, because it is a protective case as well.

Pros:
- The extra battery life is fantastic. Easily another 5-6 hours.
- You can charge and sync the iPhone via the case's microUSB port. The iPhone will charge before the case.
- Camera cut-out is large enough to not interfere with the flash.

Cons:
- Silicone is a lint magnet, albeit not as bad as the Otterbox.
- Case blocks the dock connector.
- Bottom ridge scuffs my Zagg screen protector.
- Volume and lock buttons are hard to push.
- Actually syncing while the phone is in the case is touch and go at best.
- MicroUSB port is on the side of the case, near the bottom, which means I can't charge it while it's in my car dock. Very awkward.

I found this case for $30, and for that price it's a steal. But at $60-70, I would probably go with one of the Morphie Juice Packs.

After about a month of use, this item stopped working altogether. It would no longer charge when plugged into the wall. Do not buy it unless you want to have to buy a new one in less than a month.

I don't understand why everyone is not happy with this case. I love it. I have had all 4 iPhones. It's biggest downfall is short battery life. Not only does the case protect the phone. It easily doubles your battery life As far as the lint magnet goes. I don't see it. Some people u can never please. For the price of a case at the apple store. I have a case and battery that doubles + my talk time How can u go wrong.

I ordered it on January 4th. Received it on the 7th. It stopped working on the 14th. I was charging it (or so I thought) but the micro usb port that the cable was plugged into was apparently not connected to the battery and when I went to unplug the cable, the micro usb port came along with it.
Horrible.

It over doubled the life of the battery.. Worked GREAT for almost 3 months... Now won't hold a charge and beeps... Unfortunate! I will try one more even though I cannot get a refund or exchange because the battery life is SO BAD on the iPhone 4

I ended up picking this case over the more popular MiLi and Mophie cases after I read some reviews about those cases. This Energizer model was available at my local Best Buy for immediate pickup.

This is a black silicone case with a 1200 mAh battery on the back. The battery is covered in harder black plastic and is not removable. The case is a one piece unit so there are no parts to break or lose.

The silicone material will pick up pocket lint and dust, but it is easy to wipe the case clean with a microfiber cloth.

The rim of the case is raised above the iPhone 4 screen, so the case will provide some additional protection.

One benefit of this case is the improved sound quality of the external speaker. There are two small indentations for the external speaker and the bottom microphone. This feature makes conference calling and speakerphone calls a bit easier to hear.

The battery charging system works very well. When the iPhone and case are fully charged, I can easily get through the workday or a long night out, even while I'm using WiFi.

The Energizer case makes the iPhone about twice as thick. The case won't fit into most docks, but the black silicone material has a matte finish and it hides fingerprints very well.

There's a micro-USB port on the lower right corner for charging. The case comes with a cable, and it's easy to find similar cables at Best Buy. The iPhone will sync and charge through this cable.

There is a small button on the lower left corner that controls the charging mode. It also lights the blue battery status LEDs on the back of the case. The button can be a little stubborn sometimes, but it does work.

This case will handle an adhesive screen shield mounted on the front of the iPhone. I could put an adhesive shield on the back of the iPhone, but I haven't yet.
