I bought this light on a whim for my husband since I was buying him a Kindle 2. Well, I "tested" his Kindle 2 with the light late at night in a completely darkened room and found the light to work marvelously well. It was easy to direct the light. The lighting was just enough to light the e-reader without waking him up. It's also very lightweight. And the light didn't dim after just a couple of hours of use. Another thing I like about the light is the clip. It has soft grippers that hold on really well but won't easily damage what they're attached to. Well designed, light weight and bright enough for late night reading.

I've since used the light to further illuminate my stitching. I just clip it right on to the hoop and aim it directly onto my project. I'm very satisfied!

I bought this to read while my boyfriend was sleeping.

- It clips on easily and securely.

- It maneuvers very well into lots of positions, and HOLDS said position for a long time.

- It has an attractive design.

- But holy cow this thing is BRIGHT. If I wanted a light that bright, I would flip on my ceiling light. I meant for this to be discreet so I could read falling asleep without irritating my bf, but the super-bright light defeats the purpose of a discreet book light. Minus 2 stars for the overkill luminosity.

I bought this book light on a whim a few months ago (no more than 4 months ago). It has not held up well. The neck no longer stays where I want it to and the light has dimmed to the point it's almost useless (I only use it 1-3 times a week for half an hour). It takes a CR 2032 battery. When it dies, I'm pitching the light.

I've used Might Bright lights for a couple of years and they've held up well (my husband and I each have one). They take 3 AAA batteries and it's easier to change batteries in the Mighty Bright (no screwdriver required)than the Energizer. The batteries last a long time too! Furthermore, you can find them with an A/C adapter and skip the batteries. The necks eventually loosen up but no so much it's a pain to use (as is the Energizer).

For a few dollars more, you can have a much better product. Go for it!

The light is far too bright and the moveable arm of the product isn't strong enough to support the length so it moves all over the place. More of a hassle than anything.

This light is everything you need in a book light and more. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because I bought it for my husband so that he would stop using the bright bedside table lamp. This little light is "mighty" to say the least. It will brighten up the room if you don't direct it completely down at the book. My husband loves it because he can take it everywhere.

Couldn't live without this! Clips easily to the book and is light enough so that you can easily use it while reading in bed without making the book too heavy to hold. It lights the whole reading area much better than other book lights. The flexible head is ideal. I have had four of these in the house and the battery life is much better than advertised.

This reading light is the best one I've yet found for the new Kindles (Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally - Latest Generation) with the smaller case. It's footprint is about right to clip to the edge of the case without obstructing the screen, and the illumination of the screen is uniform. Further, it is lightweight, compact, and grips the case nicely so that it doesn't slip. Price is right, too.

This is a nice concept, but it doesn't work well in practice. The clip doesn't open very wide, and only has a little piece of rubber to help it maintain it's grip. The only thing I can get it to hold onto is a book. That would be okay, except the neck is too short to get it pointed so that the light actually shines on the pages.

Casts a nice, bright light; unit is small and lightweight; but the flexible goose-neck needs some backbone! - terribly "floppy" - will not hold to the position you set/desire. Bottom line: excellent light, terrific price, but poor execution make this only a so-so product... and hence a disappointment.

I use this exclusively with my Sony Reader, though it does work well with a paperback book as well. Definitely the best light I've tested with Sony's glorious e-book device. An almost-perfectly uniform light is cast over the Reader, and the light has exceptional battery life as the manufacturer claims.
