This flashlight is perfect for my use: bright with no complicated frills; perfect for a toolbox. I like this light a lot.

- Preamble -
I got this flashlight because of the latest quality and availability problems with the Brinkmann 809-1085-1. The Brinkmann was my favorite toolbox flashlight but it is discontinued and the leftover stock has a junky switch. So, time to find a new flashlight.
The Brinkmann can be found here: Brinkmann 809-1085-1 Armor Max LED Flashlight

Pros
* Extremely bright, I believe its 130 lumen claim. Intense, bright white light. Maybe a slight shift toward yellow, but not much.
* Takes two AA batteries. Easy to find and cheap. (The light's battery polarity is marked on the side of the case in a diagram).
* Just on and off. No dim or blink, etc. I like that in a flashlight for my toolbox.
* Tail cap pushbutton switch that is encased in rubber. This is great for one-handed operation.
* The case appears to be solid aluminum with rather thick walls. Has an extremely robust feel to it.
* A solid looking black rubber seal on the tail cap screw end where you insert the batteries.
* Doesn't roll easily, but in my opinion the grooves to hinder rolling could be more pronounced to prevent rolling even more.
* Looks like it can take rain and minor liquids. I have not dunk tested it (yet). The FL1 ANSI standard icon on the package indicates "Water resistant, splashed from all directions".
* Comes with removable lanyard.
* Knurled case is easy to grip.
* No annoying "defense face" with sharp edges to gouge you.

Got this as a Gift. One of the best gifts I've ever gotten. Bright as the sun, and fits in a shirt pocket. I don't much miss being able to change the focus, but the bright spot in the center is often blinding at close range. just aim a little off and problem solved. I'm going to buy a couple more for home and car.

Warning- the properties of dis similar metals. The batteries in all 5 of my flashlights have prematurely corroded due to the properties of this flashlight. I used either Duracell or Energizer batteries and they have all corroded. I ended up spraying the inside with WD40 prior to inserting batteries and it has helped. Good survival flashlights for a bailout bag IF you do not insert batteries UNTIL you need them.

I use this product CONSTANTLY on my "geocaching" hunts around the SF bay area. I use it for looking into trees, down storm drains, into caverns--well you get the idea. I heavily rely on this flashlight. It is listed on my "check-list" I use before each trip.

This is one GREAT product.

▲ Light output outstanding
▲ Very solid construction
▲ Lanyard/strap works very well (okay, okay, I use the strap now!)
▲ Reasonable price for what you get.

My only criticism, is that I keep losing them whilst on hikes on cycling trips. I've lost 2 or 3 of these in the last 2 years. Why can't they put a GPS into the flashlight, so that I can track it down when I lose it? Or maybe have the flashlight connect to the internet, and tell me where it is? And hey, it can't stream video! (That's why it only got 5 stars, not six.)

✔ Seriously, this is well worth the money. Highly Recommend!

Very Bright. Uses cheap AA batteries. Simple on/off button on end cap. No focus and does not have multiple brightness settings. Solid basic compact light.

This little (about 6" long) LED flashlight produces 150 lumens of light. That outshines most large flashlights.

I liked this one enough that I bought one for each member of the family--except for the baby. I wanted one in every glove compartment.

But be careful, Energizer puts out a similar flashlight that produces only 35 lumens. At present the 150 lumen flashlight is about $25 on Amazon, and the 35 lumen flashlight is about $8. I am sure that the lesser flashlight is also an excellent buy, but I really like the 150 lumen brightness.

This flashlight was VERY bright and worked VERY well for the year of use I got out of it. Unfortunately it got left in a very steamy bathroom repeatedly and corroded and stopped working. Not that it's the fault of the flashlight, but one star off for not being sealed. Aluminum was also pretty soft and it got lots of dings and dents over the year.

This is a great small flashlight. I can light up trees a block away and it runs off two AA batteries. I liked my first one so much, I got one for the house, one for each of my trucks and for my camper. It seems to be rugged too. Amazon only used a padded envelope to ship them and they all worked fine upon arrival. I imagine they got beat around during shipping.
