5.0 out of 5 stars real numbers
I've found these batteries to be WELL worth the money. They are comparable to a good Heavy Duty (Non-Alkaline) set of batteries. I have a program on my palm pilot called FPSUtil3.5 that allows me to track the battery power curve over time:

They don't hold a top end charge for very long: 85% after only 30 minutes But they really hold up well after that: 68% after 2...

1.0 out of 5 stars Old Batteries - High Price
These should no longer be considered "high energy" batteries. They are only 650mh (most batteries are not _at last_ 750mh). The price is equal to other, more powerfull batteries being sold in most retail stores. I'd recommend that you stay away from these batteries as, at $7.00, they are no less expensive then the better batteries you can buy in your local retail store.

I've found these batteries to be WELL worth the money. They are comparable to a good Heavy Duty (Non-Alkaline) set of batteries. I have a program on my palm pilot called FPSUtil3.5 that allows me to track the battery power curve over time:

They don't hold a top end charge for very long: 85% after only 30 minutes But they really hold up well after that: 68% after 2 hrs & 15 minutes (10 minutes of nightlight) - 54% after 3 hrs - 40% after 5 hrs - 38% after 8 hrs (15 minutes of nightlight) - 28% after 10 hrs - 18% (battery warning)after 11 hrs 30 minutes

So, after 11 hours and 30 minutes of power on over a 6 day period with 25 minutes of nightlight use, they are ready for a 5 hour charge... NOT BAD, seeing as to how I'm supposed to be able to charge them 1000 times. I think I'll get my money out of them... ; )

5.0 out of 5 stars These batteries saved me a lot of money, February 14, 2000
This review is from: Energizer NH12BP-2 AAA Nickel Rechargeable Battery (2-Pack) (Electronics)
I purchased 2 pairs of these batteries for my Palm Pilot IIIx because I was sick of spending a lot of money for non-rechargeable alkaline batteries. And I found them very reliable. There is no possibility of leakage with these batteries, because they are Nickel metal hydride, and they provide a large amount of energy for my Palm Pilot. Using them, I never found myself with empty batteries on the road. They are much better than NiCd batteries because they provide more then double mAh, and they do not loose their capacity with time. I would not trust any other batteries to keep my data safe, but Energizer. I use them in combination with Energizer charger for NiMH and NiCd battery family.

Hi there, after I wrote the review below this one, I've found out that these batteries will drain their charge over time when not left in the charger for their trickle charge. I replaced the batteries in my palm pilot with some that were charged 9 days earlier, unfortunately, the batteries had only retained 25% of the charge. The charger literature has a brief statement about leaving the batteries in the charger to ensure performance... I figured this was more for reasons of battery loss than charge degradation. So, I'll stick by the recommendation that they are worth the money, however, don't count on them if you need to take them away from the charger for a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little batteries when charged properly., November 15, 2001
This review is from: Energizer NH12BP-2 AAA Nickel Rechargeable Battery (2-Pack) (Electronics)
I bought these Engergizer AccuRechargeable NiMH batteries in the new packaging which says they are 700mAh capacity. That is the highest of all AAA NiMH that I've been able to find. All NiMH batteries discharge when not used in about 90 days. So far these power my Palm M100 for 45 days use the way I use them. This is comparable to the Duracell Ultra's that I was using.

I also have 4 of them in a small R/C car to power the motor. They run forever (>45 minutes) and when they are done a 1 hour recharge will get it moving again.

I charge them on a Rayovac 1 hour charger which charges each battery idependently until it's "full" and I think that this makes a big difference over other cheaper chargers that charge 2 cells at once and/or for a fixed amount of time.

If you need AAA size and want the best rechargeables you can get I'm convinced that these are probably those batteries. Get them and a Rayovac charger and you are set.

5.0 out of 5 stars More powerful than Rayovac AAA's and most others, October 16, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Energizer NH12BP-2 AAA Nickel Rechargeable Battery (2-Pack) (Electronics)
I have two sets of these and two sets of Rayovac AAA NiMH batteries and the Energizers are definitely longer lasting than the Rayovacs in this size (the reverse is true with AA size - Rayovacs have more juice). If you look at the specs, you will see why. The Energizers are 700 mAh of power, whereas the Rayovacs are only around 600 mAh. Not a bad buy for the price, but there may be brands of industrial and photographic NiMH batteries out there that will best these Energizers by a slight amount.

I usually can get about ten days of use (10-40 minutes per day) out of these in my Handspring Visor PDA before I start getting squeamish about battery levels and decide to swap in a fresh set. Energizers, like all other brands of NiMH batteries, tend to drain their charges fairly quickly when not in use, much more so than standard or alkaline batteries, so I would not blame these models more than the others in this category. With NiMH batteries, you are trading off poor long term life to obain excellent short term life and power.

5.0 out of 5 stars Items are better then the ones pictured, June 6, 2006
This review is from: Energizer NH12BP-2 AAA Nickel Rechargeable Battery (2-Pack) (Electronics)
I thought I would put in a quick note as the review below are as updated as the picture Amazon is displaying. I ordered three sets of these batteries last week and all arrived as 900 mAh not the 650 as listed. These work great in all our children's toys, last for quite a long time, and are as powerful as any other batteries I have tried.

I am using these for my MP3 player. I have a 1GB Creative Nano Plus. Even after a complete charge the player does not show all 3 bars for the battery strengh on the display. i can see all 3 bars with regular batteries. They last for a little lesser time than these batteries. I would recommend on trying the Sony rechargeables. They are the same price for 4 AAA batteries.

5.0 out of 5 stars I BOUGHT THE ENERGIZER AAA NIMH BATTERY ( 4 PACK ), February 5, 2002

GREAT FOR DIGITAL CAMERA USE.
I HAVE A DSC PRO DIGITAL CAMERA ( 4 AAA BATTERY USE ) AND IT EATS BATTERYS.
WITH THESE BATTERYS I CAN USE THE CAMERA FOR HOURS .
WITHOUT THE FLASH YOU CAN TAKE ( 100 PICTURES WITH OUT CHARGING THE BATTERYS )
( WHEN USING THE FLASH - THE BATTERY LASTS 20 MIN )
I BOUGHT THE AAA ENERGIZER BATTERY'S 700 MA IN A ( 4 PACK )
WHICH ARE 1.2 VOLT ( ON THE PACKAGE ) I TESTED THE BATTERYS AFTER CHARGING ( 15 HR) AND ( ON THE MY METER WERE ALMOST 1.4 - 1.5 VOLT )

AND THE POWER IN THIS BATTERY IS GREAT .
AFTER CHARGING THEM FOR 15 HR. ( IN THE SPECIAL ENERGIZER CHARGER FOR NIMH 15 HR CHARGER ) WHICH WAS SOLD SEPARATE .
THE BATTERYS HOLD THERE CHARGE VERY WELL.
( 2 WEEKS AGO 1-15-02 I PURCHASED RAYOVAC NIMH ( 550 MA BATTERYS ) THEY DO NOT HOLD THERE CHARGE I BROUGHT THEM BACK )
IN MY OPINION THE ENERGIZER IS THE BEST BATTERY FOR MY MONEY BECAUSE IT 1) HOLDS A CHARGE A LONG TIME 2) AFTER CHARGING IT LASTS A LONG TIME 3) !!! LIFE TIME WARRANTY !!!)
( AS RAYOVAC DOES NOT HAVE THIS WARRANTY )
BATTERYS ARE VERY IMPORTANT WHEN YOU ARE USING A DIGITAL CAMERA .
I WOULD NOT LEAVE MY HOUSE WITH OUT THESE BATTERYS IN MY CAMERA.
( IN THE PAST I USED AAA ALKALINE BATTERYS IN THIS CAMERA AND THE COST OF THE BATTERYS IS MUCH MORE THAN THE COST OF THE CAMERA !!! ) SO NOW WITH A $... DOLLAR INVESTMEST IN A CHARGER AND 4 AAA BATTERYS ENERGIZER I WILL SAVE ( 100'S ).

NOTE ( THIS IS MY OPINION AND I OWN THE BATTERYS AND CHARGER FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY ) I AM DONT USE MY CAMERA FOR COMMERCIAL USE .
I CHARGE THE BATTERYS 1 TIME PER DAY ! . WITH HOW I USE THE BATTERYS THEY WORK ( 5 OUT OF 5 ) .

THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS ++ RATTING ++
