Simple little flashlight & nightlight,
By
This review is from: Energizer RCL1NM2BP Compact Led Rechargeable Flashlight (Electronics)
I like this little flashlight. It can be used as a nightlight or as a flashlight.
When plugged in on nightlight mode, it emits a half power night light. I use it in the bathroom. When plugged in and switched on flashlight mode, the light remains off as long as the power is connected to it. If the power fails, the flashlight turns on so you can find it... exactly the feature I was looking for. Bottom line, this is not a very bright flashlight... but if you are looking for a simple rechargable flash light that doubles as an emergency light, you are in luck!

This is a great little flashlight. It's feature of turning on when the power is out is very nice. The battery lasts quite some time on a full charge. Light output isn't massive, but is sufficient.

I am going to buy more and have 1 on every floor. It's not big and bulky like others I've had.

Purchased this for the supervisor so that it will always be charged. Good size, convenient, but puts out very little light, despite being an LED. Other battery operated small flashlights are far superior.

With our active lifestyle, we use flashlights for many purposes several times a week. We are always disappointed that our flashlights die out after just a few uses. It seems that just when we need them most, they fail us and leave us with frustration. On weekends, we are frequently away, to our boat on the Chesapeake or to our daughter's cabin in the mountains. When we travel, we are always in need of a flashlight to turn the power on, or to row across a creek, or just to walk in the dark. After fruitless searches for the most economical and green way to light our path, I found this handy little tool that runs 8 hours on one charge and gives off a bright light. It has two levels of luminescence and is very lightweight. The best part about it is that it plugs in the wall to be recharged and does not use costly wasteful batteries that harm our environment. We liked them so much, we bought two! We carry them with us every weekend in our luggage and upon arrival of wherever we go; we just plug them in to ensure that they are always fully charged. When we get home, we plug them back in and viola! We have charged up flashlights in case of an at-home emergency. This flashlight really fits our way of life and we wouldn't want to be without them. Using them is responsible and cost effective.
Each year, over 3 billion dry-cell household batteries are purchased in the United States. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, consumer batteries contribute more mercury and cadmium to municipal solid waste than any other source. Long-term exposure to heavy metals can lead to serious health problems. Cadmium can cause lung, circulatory system, or reproductive system damage. Mercury can damage the brain, kidneys, or fetuses, as well as cause genetic, neurological, or psychological disorders. Cadmium, lead, manganese, mercury, nickel, and zinc have each been linked to cancer, developmental disorders, and immune deficiency. So needless to say, the less we use them, the better and the better for our environment.

This is a very nice rechargeable flashlight. It's small and handy around the house and the garden. It also has a nightlight option. I've had the older model which is slightly larger for a couple of years and like that as well. I have two of these now and use them a lot since.
It's not too powerful, but adequate for home use. [...]

Great little rechargeable flashlight. My first LED one. Constantly killing batteries in traditional incandescent bulb varieties so I gave this one a try. Not super bright, but sufficient for general use; i.e searching for crap in my closet. Mostly, I obtained this flashlight for free by getting 2000 points in ZoomPanel surveys.

Good item to have,

Following the Hawaii earthquake and subsequent blackout, I purchased 2 of these lights to avoid having to rummage through the dark finding a flashlight. The small size, low cost, and LED light source made this a good choice. These lights are bright enough to provide emergency lighting to find flashlights and other items in the event of power disruptions and have the added benefit of a nightlight feature, which leaves the light on while plugged in at a lower brightness level. Overall we are are pleased to have these lights and feel more secure knowing we will not be caught completely in the dark.

Rechargable flashlight is small, bright and sturdy. We keep two of them ready in our theater at all times. I like the dual power lamp settings and the long lamp / battery life. Plugs right into outlet to recharge.
