As many reviewers say, it is important to use these for the right job. Simply putting these in a TV remote would be a complete waste of money due to thier price. However, when used in an apllication that requires increased performance, these batteries are completely worth the price you pay.

Mostly, I use them for flashlights for camping and other tasks around the house. They not only make my flashlights last longer, they increase the brightness and will not fail in freezing temperatures. I own some pretty expensive flashlights also. The lithiums are far less likely explode or leak like alkaline have been known to do. It has happened to me and ruined a flashlight on me. That being said, I recommend these for your high-end electronics like digital cameras or two-way radios and the like. They will perform better and will not be ruined by a battery malfunction.

The other great thing for the camping aspect is the lightweight of the batteries themselves. This allows me to pack them into my system and not worry about weight as they feel seemingly hollow, almost cheaply light.

I highly recommend the Powerpax battery caddy sold here on amazon for storage in camera bags or your camping system. They keep them from coliding with each other and getting damaged. You can seem my in-depth review on these items as well to gain an idea of how well they function.

You can also buy these in bulk as the shelf life is 15-16 years as advertised. I can not vouch for this personally but it is an intriguing idea for sure.

Also, I beleive the 12 packs sold in Sams Club are one of the best deals I've found as each battery came to be $1.67 a piece. However, sometimes the prices on amazon drop and they become a better deal.

The device I was using these batteries in failed after 12 days of use. They are configured in packs of 8 so I did a voltage check and found that 4 of the 8 had voltages below .5 volts. The other 4 had over 1.4 volts. These batteries were dated 2027. I replaced all eight batteries with new ones (from the same order) and the device has been working fine for several weeks. The previous batteries (dated 2025) lasted 7 weeks.

I use the batteries in military grade night vision equipment currently refer to as a PVS – 14. A standard alkaline battery or even rechargeable battery will operate this unit for less than 20 hours. Just one of these batteries will enable me to operate a PVS – 14 for approximately 50 to 60 hours. Additionally I also use a device called a PVS – 24 that would normally use a three 3volt lithium-ion battery.... Using an adapter I can use one of these batteries run the unit for approximately 15 hours. That's probably the best praise you can get on or off the battlefield. In general energizer lithium ion batteries are probably the best batteries you can get out there and it worked fantastically.

These batteries are truly high performance. Expensive, thus the loss of one star. But very high performance. One interesting observation that I have made over the last few years of using these batteries is that the voltage drop that occurs follows a distinctly different pattern than alkaline batteries. Alkalines begin a long steady drop in voltage right off the bat in a very linear fashion. Eventually the batteries reach a point where they are unreliable. These lithiums hold the voltage like a rock up until the moment where they give up the ghost and then it drops off the table. There is very little warning and in specific applications this can cause an issue. But overall these batteries rock!

These batteries are the best for two things in particular: Weight & reliability. They are light as a feather compared to alkaline batteries and they are incredibly reliable, even in cold weather. Great for backpacking when you want light and dependable.

These lithium batteries are the best for digital cameras. I can take hundreds of pictures without changing batteries. Probably 700-1000 pictures - depending on how much flash I use and how many videos. After the batteries "expire", I then use them in my battery operated toothbrush and it lasts for months. I will never buy any other batteries again.

They were needed and this is just what I wanted. These are used in several camcorders that are put up on our land to record animals - moose, deer, raccoons, bald eagles, fisher cats, coyotes, great horned owls, skunks, crows, bear, turkey buzzards, red-tailed hawks to name a few.
