I purchased this sub from Vann's for $200 bucks and couldn't be happier. I can't say that I would have bought it for the MSRP of $400 because I probably would want a 12" sub at that price level, but for the price I paid the performance is hard to beat. This sub looks great (very classy finish) and sounds even better. I have it paired with a set of Energy's Take Classic speakers and everything blends very well. The sound is clean and crisp. This sub hits hard and deep and is great for both movies and music. If you can get it at the Vann's price, don't hesitate to pull the trigger!

Let me start out by mentioning I had a Sony "home theater in-a-box" and just wasn't cutting it for me. After reading too many reviews I chose a set of Energy RC-micros and a separate ESW-C8 hooked up to a Yamaha 5.1 A/V receiver. I patiently did the 50 hour burn-in procedure and I can say the sound does improve and even out. Yet the sound stage still felt small.
Music sounded OK yet unimpressive. LFE in movies were barely felt. Still I must say the sound quality is good.

I decided to go ahead and buy a ESW-C10. We're talking 150W RMS vs. 60W, more than twice the power, larger driver and larger and heavier enclosure. Another reviewer said the difference is night and day. That's exactly right.

I am very pleased with this sub. Very appropriate for music and movies. I highly recommend it, specially if you have small speakers.

This subwoofer literally vibrates my windows in the house. I couldn't be happier with how the C10 sounds, it is very deep and clear which is exactly what I was looking for. I opened up the interior just to take a look inside and the driver looks like a very high quality speaker with a solid metal housing; it looked and performed like a 400 dollar unit but I was able to secure it for 138 used which is an absolute steal. Even if I had spent 250 dollars this would have been a bargain.

Have an ESW C-10 with CF-70's (front), CC10 (center), CB5 (sides) and CR10's (back) driven by a Denon 125 watt receiver. The sound quality is outstanding. The bass is full and lifelike. It is not too punchy and sounds natural. I have another brand 12" 500 watt sub woofer in another surround system and prefer the Energy ESW C-10. It costs a few more dollars, but feel it is worth it. I highly reccommend the ESW C-10.

I replaced an 8" Energy subwoofer with this 10" model. The difference is night-and-day better! The 8" model was very nice but too small for the room.

Awesome subwoofer. Definitely worth the price. More bang for your buck. Had a 12" sub, the 10" from Energy blew it out of the water.
