You should be aware that these lights DO NOT fit in a standard bulb socket. They have a much smaller base. I ordered quite a few to use outside cabins we rent, but had to send them all back because they were too small. The description should note this.

- Less heat from the bulb - Less bugs, but there ARE still bugs around the bulb. (this is to be expected, this product just limits the number of bugs attracted to the light a bit) - Decent brightness, I would say it's similar to a 60 watt standard bulb as stated in the product description. Overall I would think for the price these are a good outdoor summer light choice. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the yellow color, but it's a nice soft summer light.

Just went through a super rainstorm with these "puppies" on all night and no 'blow-outs'. I've replaced my home & studio lights with Energy Saving bulbs over 4 years ago and have seen a marked drop in my electric bills. Next stept, solar all the way, baby.....

I should have known if you try to save money and buy used items 9-out of 10 times they don't work. Like the saying goes you pay for what you buy. When I went to open the package the bottom was taped to the bottom (first mistake) when I took it out of the packags you could hear it rattling inside the light bulb. Guess I'll go to WalMart.
