Dave Hoffman's FROM ENERGY TO STILLNESS is a rare recording. It has the playful, whimsical and interesting qualities of jazz. It has the ambiance and sheer beauty of better new age recordings. It is easy to dive into and nearly impossible to forget. Hoffman's experience in the music business is shown but not shown off. His solos and jams are controlled and always add to the compositions, yet never boring. This is one to seek high and low for!

It's hard imagining someone not being swept away by this CD. Daves shows that he is one of the sweetest soloists in the world. Jazz folks love his adventuresome compositions but the New Age folks love the warm sense romanticism.This is THE album to listen to when your feet are proped on the table while drinking a great glass of wine!!
