This is the best keyboard I've ever owned, and I've gone through a lot of keyboards in search of a good one. If you like the feel of a good laptop keyboard, you will love this! Just a couple of things I'd change:
-Small backspace key; I wish the backspace key was larger like a normal backspace, it's the size of a normal letter key. I find myself constantly hitting the backslash key which is to the left of it.
-It's extremely sensitive to static electricity. Every time I would sit down and touch the keyboard I would zap it, which would then require me to unplug and plug it back in to reset. I finally ran a wire from the surface of the keyboard to the back of my pc chassis. That seems to have fixed the issue, but the media buttons on the left end of the keyboard must have gotten fried before I did that, as they no longer work.
-If this keyboard were illuminated, and the static and backspace issues were fixed, it would be PERFECT!

The hefty, well-made Enermax Caesar model LB005U-B is an outstanding keyboard. With the current $35 Enermax rebate, the keyboard is a steal at about $25.

I own a lab and we have many keyboards including the Apple Aluminum Keyboard, the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard and the Enermax Caesar. The Caesar is the highest quality keyboard in our lab. The typing experience is superlative and the keys deliver satisfying tactile feedback that is more audible than other keyboards with notebook-style scissor switches -- it reminds me of some ThinkPad notebooks. A thick, diamond cut aluminum plate surrounding the keys is an example of the outstanding build quality. The two USB 2.0 ports are handy.

The keyboard has a built-in USB audio chip along with headphone and microphone jacks.

There are only a few negative things to say about the Enermax Caesar. The steel mesh is not terribly comfortable after hours of use. The mesh also gets dirty quickly and must be cleaned frequently; a washable gel or memory foam wrist pad would have been better. It would be nice if the keyboard were illuminated. If the Caesar were illuminated and ergonomic with a split layout, it would be one of the best keyboards ever made. A cherry on top would be an integrated, ergonomic optical trackball with a scroll ring or an integrated multitouch trackpad a la the Apple MacBook.

The media buttons and the shortcut keys all work as expected, but should have been placed above the function keys to reduce the very wide footprint of the keyboard.

All in all, I am very pleased with the Enermax Caesar USB keyboard and highly recommend it. With the current rebate offer, it's the best keyboard bargain you'll find anywhere.

I bought this because I am very hard on keyboards. I really like this thing. It is sturdy and comes with some nice features. The only thing that I don't like is that the keys are a little noisy, but it is worth it for the metal construction. I am not sure what the other reviewer is talking about with metal edges to cut you because mine are all nicely rounded off and quite smooth. The keyboard looks very spiffy and sits very solid on a level desk. Don't forget to read the instructions about the audio chip. If I had done that I wouldn't have spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why my speakers wouldn't work after hooking it up. It was an easy setting change that took 30 seconds.
