Great album, but I still miss their old style., September 29, 2004
On their first two albums (Seasons and Stormbirds) Ever Eve mixed different Metal styles into their unique style. After the second album the band changed their style drastically. On Enetics, their fifth album, Ever Eve continue where they left on E-mania, their fourth album. Just like E-mania, Enetics is a blend of modern groovy, electronic based metal with a depressive/melancholic vibe. The depressive vibe is musically the only connection with their early sound. Enetics is a great album, which contains strong songs, excellent vocals and a good production. I must admit that, although I like the simple catchy songs on Enetics, I still miss the more complex and original style of their first two albums. If you are interested in Enetics you should try to obtain the limited edition, which has an extra cd with some remixes of songs from Enetics and a enhanced part.

not bad, but not great either, May 13, 2004
This review is from: Enetics (Audio CD)
This is not a bad album at all. The problem is that you'll probably either expect a black metal album or some "cyber-goth", which is what some review somewhere says. I find this to be more like typical rock. Considering that, this is a very disappointing album. BUT, once you accept the album for what it is, its pretty good.
My favorite is track 3, "Abraza la Luz", which is sung in Spanish. The problem with that is that even this song isn't all that great. Soon after this song, you'll find that the album seems to get repetitive and lose your attention - just like what happens when listening to radio music. Also, the opener is nothing special. I don't think a single song reaches the 5 minute mark, and if any song does, it's the last one, but doesn't reach the 6 minute mark. Somehow, sometime, I noticed that the drums sounded a lot like those of Valley's Eve - a melodic power metal band.
I wouldn't recommend this album, but if you were to listen to it, you probably wouldn't hate it if you really listened to it.
