Great formula...ok price, May 12, 2004
This review is from: Enfamil Lipil Milk-Based Formula With Iron, Powder 25.7 oz (Health and Beauty)
Considering anyone can get the larger 38oz container for $25.00 at Costco, this is really not a great deal. Bring it down to $15.50 like the Similac equivilent and I will buy a case!

I am a RN and mom of 4. I bottle fed all 4 of my children. I just have to respond in total support of the mom who wrote do not harrass the bottle feeding moms! GOOD FOR YOU! I did a study in nursing school,,a comparison of formula vs breast feeding...the ONLY difference after all research is mainly the initial immunity from breast milk. BUT ley me say this ..my first child has cystic fibrosis and bottle fed...never had a sniffle until age 2..and basically not one after that...and my others are extremely healthy. All 4 of my kids are very bright...test in the top 1% of their classes, (my oldest is attending a very competitive prep school for high school), they are happy, into sports activities etc....MAYBE it had something to do with that formula I gave them LOL! But seriously Enfamil is a great product and so is Similac. I hope even one mom reads this that has been made to feel guilty about not breastfeeding..if it makes them feel better...my purpose for writing this email was a positive one. Good luck to all of you new moms!!

My baby boy loves Enfamil more than my breast milk, September 21, 2004
This review is from: Enfamil Lipil Milk-Based Formula With Iron, Powder 25.7 oz (Health and Beauty)
I have not tried other formula like Similac, GoodStart etc, but since Enfamil found this 'Lipil" first, I simply trust the name.
I compared the labels of these 3 leading brands and found that they are about the same. While Enfamil offers a little bit more nutrition/Lipil than Similac, GoodStart takes an extra step offering something called 'Comfort Protein'. As long as both you and your baby are comfortable, there is no 'wrong choice.' (Hey, here is America. Low quality formula does not exist. :)
Anyway, I do breastfeed my baby and I have to agree that breast milk is the best food you can offer to your baby. (At least, it's good for the mom and it's FREE.) Yet, it takes lots of work, both mentally and physically (you think waking up at 2 or 3am every night for several months is an easy thing?!) When I am not that tough, I give my boy a bottle.
He likes! He's so excited and satisfied when he gets Enfamil.
I guess it has better taste than breast milk. :) I choose the concentrated one, but a nurse said it's same as powder, same content.
Last, I want to say, wether you are bottle feeding or breastfeeding, if you are reading these reviews, I am sure you are a good mom! Score for you!
p.s. I couldn't breastfeed my kid at the first 2 weeks. I tried not to feel bad and respected the fact that I couldn't. I am very blessed that I got milk later. So, I am reasonably neutral. :))
