Product Description

Your little one is growing right before your very eyes. Are you sure he's getting all the nutrition he needs? While you're pregnant, your baby gets everything he needs from you. Particularly the eye-and brain-building nutrients DHA and ARA. But the need for these nutrients doesn't stop when your baby is born. His brain and eye development continues at an amazing rate for the first 2 years of his life. So how do you help ensure that your baby continues to get what he needs? Either through breast milk or Enfamil LIPIL with Iron. Only Enfamil has LIPIL, a unique blend of DHA and ARA, the important nutrients found in breast milk that support brain and eye development. Plus Enfamil LIPIL provides other nutrients your baby needs, everything from easy-to-digest protein and calcium to over 20 vitamins and other minerals. In fact, no formula is closer to breast milk. Is it any wonder pediatricians recommend Enfamil LIPIL? In March of 2002, Mead Johnson Nutritionals introduced a new infant formula with additional nutrients that were shown in some studies to support the mental development and visual acuity of infants. Called Enfamil® LIPIL with Iron, this was the first infant formula in the United States to include a unique blend of the nutrients DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid), important building blocks of a baby's brain and eyes. These nutrients, provided to babies in utero and found naturally in breast milk, had never before been included in infant formula in the U.S. Enfamil LIPIL's proprietary formula includes DHA and ARA derived from natural sources that are the only sources recognized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in infant formula.

I used to buy this formula in bulk when it was available because of the free shipping and the fact that it was frequently out of stock. It's a shame that the price has gone up. It's $3.00 cheaper at Costco.
