5.0 out of 5 stars A great into to Wicca, December 29, 1998
By A Customer
It basically separates what IS and what IS NOT Wicca. It's a great book to give to parents, police officers, whomever you want to know about Wicca. It's written by a Wiccan Police Officer especially for giving to other police agencies. I use it every time I'm having a public ritual, I meet with the police, tell them what we're going to be doing and why so there will be no misunderstandings. Then I give them a copy of the book to keep for reference. It's fairly innexpensive so I can do that. I also gave it to my folks when I wanted to tell them about being a Wiccan. I've also shown it to prospective girlfriends who weren't into Wicca. It's a great introduction. The author is also a founder of a Wiccan anti defamation organization so is a pretty cool dude. I really liked this book. I bought all three editions. I probably have bought dozens of copies over the years. You've GOT to have this one in your library.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource, March 15, 2000

This book about Wicca and other Neopagan religions is written from a unique perspective: the author is both a Wiccan and a police officer in British Columbia, Canada. It is an excellent antidote to so many hate-motivated books about Wicca written by non-Neopagans, and anti-cult authors. Every Neopagan should have a copy on hand, particularly if they live in an area where law enforcement has attended "Satanic Ritual Abuse" misinformation seminars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great educational tool, March 5, 1999

I have used this book when lecturing about Neo-pagan religions. It helps define the basic beliefes and myths about Neo-pagan Witchcraft. The author has presented the subject in a way that is unique and well researched.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for any Wiccan/Pagan to own!, August 11, 2007
I was loaned this book 5 years ago during my divorce and custody hearings. After reading it, I passed it on to my attorney, the children's attorney, and to the Social Worker who was trying to decide if I was a fit mother for being a Pagan. All of them were appreciative that this was written by officers of the law. I would recommend this book to any person of wiccan or pagan faiths, especially those with children!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Law Enforcement Guide to Wicca, August 29, 2009
By
Jo Pierson (S. California) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The Law Enforcement Guide to Wicca is a well researched, well written guide for everyone else. It explains to the non-Wiccan, particularly the non-Wiccan peace officer who might encounter a practitioner mid-ritual what he is seeing and how to best respond. It also explains to the Wiccan why she might want to notify the local cops before conducting a ritual in a public place. Cuhulain writes without a great deal of sentiment, a style that will be comfortable to the typical police officer. His own committment to Wicca and honoring its practitioners provides the backdrop to this little, very important book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Precisely What its Title Says, February 24, 2000

If you have a cottage type business that allows local or Federal authorities access to your (home) business premises to view records or safety codes, then you should buy this book. I have such a field job and I'm Pagan, but I'm in the minority.
