A Great Addition to this Miniseries, February 15, 2005

Merry Montrose is at it again. She only has two more couples to fix up before the spell will be broken. Merry was turned into an old woman by her aunt, and she has to fix up twenty-one couples before the spell is broken. When Kamar ibn-Asad and Selina Carrington arrive on La Torchere Resort, Merry sees her next opportunity for love.
Selina has come to La Torchere Resort with her grandfather, Jerry to keep him company while he conducts business. Jerry is here to meet with sheik Kamar ibn-Asad to discuss rental properties. Selina's grandfather also has a little matchmaking on his mind. And, that is evident when he concocts a plan for Kamar and Selina to pretend they are engaged. Jerry claims this is necessary, because of a reporter that is trying to find out why Kamar has come to La Torchere.
Selina and Kamar agree to the ruse, but they don't realize what they are getting themselves into. When Kamar and Jerry aren't discussing business, Kamar and Selina are spending their time together. As they get to know each other, both realize their first impressions were off mark. Selina is a woman who has been burned, and she has vowed to break many hearts. Yet, she can't seem to protect her own heart from Kamar. When he's not being a haughty prince, Kamar is chivalric, charming and witty. And, Selina can't resist his devastating good looks and killer smile. Will the spell of La Torchere Resort affect Selina and Kamar? It just might with the help of a little magic from Merry Montrose.

Great Job for Sue, February 14, 2005

I have read several of these in the series of Fairy Tale Romance. I feel this one is a worthy addition. I enjoyed watching the two main characters grow and change into likeable people.
Selina Carrington sees Kamar ibm Asad in a bar and judges him to be handsome but arrogant man. Since she specializes in broken hearts, she decides that Kam will be her next subject. For his part, Kam judges Selina to be beautiful but much too mouthy. He does decide though that he wants to get to know her better. There to meet Selina's grandfather, Kam, the sexy sheik, is followed constantly by reporters. When a shame engagement is employed to keep a reporter at bay, both find the other to be more than they thought.
This was a very interesting read. Both Selina and Kam come from unusual pasts and both have to work to over come that. Since it is a fairy tale, everyone should relax and enjoy it. I know I did.
