About the Author
Dr. Saeed Moaveni, P.E., joined the Mechanical Engineering Faculty at Minnesota State University at Mankato in 1990. He is Professor and the Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Department. He is a member of American Society for Engineering Education, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and American Society of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Engineers.

I have to say that I do not like this book because although it gives a good overview of engineering fundamentals, it does it on a rather low level. There was very little which was new for me. I have to add that I am 17 years old and in my school we have very strong physics classes. Maybe that is the reason. So if you are looking for something challenging. I would advise you to look elsewhere. But in other cases then it is OK.
