5.0 out of 5 stars Helped me for class!
I bought this for a geological engineering class that I took in fall of 2006. The book helped me greatly understand situations talked about in class. Very easy to read and understand which is needed for a class of this nature. I recommend it to anyone interested in the subject.

The biggest difference between hardcover and paperback is quality of contents. the quality is very important because this book contains numerous photographs as most of the geology books do.
