This review is from: Engineering Properties of Steel (06241) (Hardcover)
As a designer of CNC machine tools and robots for the last 35 years,
technical data concerning steel properties, has been one of the most important subjects involved in all my design projects. When the "ENGINEERING PROPERTIES OF STEELS" came out in the 80's I acquired an edition, and found it to be a lifesaver, enabling me to evaluate steel alternatives to obtain optimum design. The handbook has been in constant use over the years, and I have recently bought a new 8th edition. I strongly recommend this handbook as a must for design engineers who are constantly in a dilemna as to which steels are optimum for specific parts and what properties can be obtained, so that the engineer can fully specify the optimum steel type and all properties necessary.
