These are gorgeous canisters! The "look" is EXACTLY what I was wanting. But after receiving them and setting them on my counter, I realized that these are just way too big for our kitchen. The product description gives the volume capacity for the canisters, but did not have dimensions. I tried to visualize the size before I ordered it, but I guessed wrong and am returning them.
So, to help all others in your decision, the dimensions are:
- large FLOUR canister: 9-1/2" wide x 10-1/8" high (w/o the lid) OR 14-1/8" (w/the lid)
- medium SUGAR canister: 8" wide x 8-3/4" high (w/o the lid) OR 11-1/2" (w/the lid)
- small BROWN SUGAR canister: 6-1/2" wide x 7" high (w/o the lid) OR 9-1/2" (w/the lid)
So, to help all others in your decision, the dimensions are:

When I first opened the large box they came in I was suprised at how big the flour canister was. I read the specs and I think it's only 14 inches to the top but it's still huge. That being said I had ample space on my counter to house all three. The flour will hold about 10lbs of flour. After a couple of baking sessions with the canisters it soon became apparent what their utility is. The diameter of the flour canister is such that you can put your measuring cup inside the canister, fill it up, level it off - all while keeping it inside the canister, thus avoiding spills. It's handy. As far as the color goes, I've read other complaints, and they seemed as shown in the picture - a little off-white. The seals on the canister also seem to be pretty well made. So in the end I would say they are functional and pretty.

These canisters look great and are a nice large size for a real working kitchen. However, the lightweight construction makes them very fragile for real everyday use. Nice to look at but not worth the money.
