I commend your efforts to build a bridge between the Muslim and non-Muslim community. As translated Al-Qur'an has already become very popular reading among my staff, I would like to request three additional copies. -- Rodeny Ellis, Texas State Senator, 'Chairman, Jurisprudence Committee'
I have read Al-Qur'an, The Guidance for mankind, from cover to cover. We, at our center, have compared your Translation with Allama Yusuf Ali, Dr. Asad and Dr. Muhsin and have concluded that your translation is the best Da'wah tool available to us in the United States. -- Dr. Aslam Abdullah, Editor-in-Chief, The Minaret
I have read your translation of Al-Qur'an and it gives me a great pleasure to mention that you have indeed accomplished a wonderful job. Furthermore, it is with great pleasure and honor to certify that I have proofread the revised edition of Al-Qur'an for more than once and Insha Allah to the best of my knowledge there is no error in this final manuscript. -- G. A. Khan, Reviewer of Abdullah Yusuf Ali Translation
I pray this letter finds you in the best of health and high Islamic spirits. We are very much interested to obtain a copy of Al-Qur'an: The Guidance for mankind, the new English Translation for our research library. Also with your permission and gratis support we can distribute copies to Masjid, Correction Institutions in the Louisville area, where there are many Muslim inmates who are craving for the Qur'ans. Also in the State of Kentucky there are quite a number of Muslim inmates in various other Correction Institutions looking for a copy of Al-Qur'an. -- Ibrahim B. My mother is visiting me here in South Africa. She lives in Canada and had the opportunity to attend ISNA's annual conference in Chicago. There she got "Al-Qur'an, The Guidance for mankind." I read Surah Ya-Sin as soon as I saw it. Alhumdulillah, what a beautiful translation. We have a small sisters halqa that meets weekly and your Translation is ideal for us. At present we are using Yusuf Ali, Maududis and Dayabadi's (May Allah bless them and grant them jannah for their work) but your summaries and notes are exactly what we are looking for. -- Fatima Bhyat, South Africa
We are brought up in an environment that we used to have the Translation, Commentary and Tafaseer for the Muslims only but here in America we not only need translation for Muslims but need in much larger number for Non-Muslims. Even for our Prison-Al-Dawah programs we have a demand in large number. Demand for the copies of the translation of the Qur'an is in millions and millions are ready to read and benefit from Al-Qur'an. There are libraries and schools who are looking to get the copies of the translation of the Qur'an. Al-Qur'an is an excellent translation in local American language. Our Houston Muslim Community is blessed by Allah (SW! T) to take this initiative and other Communities in the Unites Sates and Canada will participate and promote this Dawah activity, Insha Allah. -- Dr. Sayyid M. Syeed, Secretary General of ISNA

Each page has notes in the margins to help explain a bit about the history or focal point of the writing which is most helpful since I was not born and raised as a Muslim.
This book is truly a blessing for anyone wishing to understand and study the Qur'an. The translation is clear and easy to understand without flowery language. There are well explained definitions for the most commonly used arabic words and reference list at the back of the book.
I first found this book at a local library and I wish all libraries would have copies on hand.
May Allah reward him for his efforts...InshaAllah.

Ok its been 8 years since my last review for this Quran. I still feel the same, which is that no matter how many times you read this Quran, without fail -- you always pick up something new that you missed the first time. It is written in plain simple everyday English which makes its very user friendly and it actually holds my attention span. (let me add here that I own five copies). Mr Malik's English Translation of the Meaning of the Al-Quran is riddled with typos but at the end of the day, the typos don't add or ake anything away from the actual text or meaning. An example of a typo is "thr" vs. "the" -- its neither here nor there. I agree, they could have done a better job with their proof reading however, finding any user friendly books of this magnitude is extremely difficulty. So in my opinion -- typos are welcomed. Bravo Mr. Malik! Job well done.
This is the best presentation of the meaning of the Qur'an for dawah (outreach) to non-Muslims, and. It makes a great gift for new reverts as well. My father-in-law likes to follow along while listening to J.D. Hall's reading of this version online.
