A wonderful tool for understanding what it means to be a Christian, along with his other book Meet Jesus Again for the First Time.

As clergy in the Presbyterian Church (USA) it is surprising to me how few have studied our confessions. When I remarked that I was preaching through the Westminster Confession many pastors in our area simply laughed. Granted, I did not go through it question by question as it is designed to do, but using this book as a jumping off point I was able to create a series of sermons that brought this important document into better light and understanding. Many have commented how they were now actually interested in reading the document.

Paul Smith takes one of the most transforming documents of the protestant church and makes it digestable for the lay person. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is trying to get a grasp on the importance of this Confession for the church and for our culture.
