5.0 out of 5 stars Does any human being ever reach this kind of light?
The words are Indigo Girls, but the sentiment works for this album. The musician must have had access to some higher states of mind! This CD starts with a delicate brook, proceeds to a thunderous storm, and takes you on a rare musical journey. Great for background music, meditation, yoga or relaxation...one of my favorites!

3.0 out of 5 stars a decent New Age CD, but resemblance to Kitaro is striking
My ears are always open to a good piece of New Age music and I guess this CD delivers some of that. But why it has to be so much Kitaro - Yanni look alike? Zazen has a good, deep, crisp sound, but lacks originality, a ghost of Master Kitaro is present thru the entire album. So if you are really a Kitaro fan, you are better off listening to the Master himself.

This is a unique "New Age" album that reveals its depth and beauty the more you listen to it. The music is graceful, lighthearted, yet deep, and expresses joy. One of my favorite records and most highly recommended. Don't believe the any negative reviews - listen yourself and soar!

5.0 out of 5 stars "Enlightenment" is a happy, energetic and inspirational CD., September 12, 1998

This is a great CD for meditating to, especially in the morning. I really enjoy the differences between each song and how quickly the music begins each theme. Each song is about 5 minutes long and there are fifteen songs. So it's easy to do a short meditation or combine them for a long meditation. I also like their "Canyons of Light" CD but that one seems better for using in the evening. (I personnaly like this group much better than any other New Age group out there.)
