Offering a deftly written story, Joe Murray's The Enormous Mister Schmupsle is not your typical ABC book. It is a bit more involved than that. A group of young people race after a gigantic and very hungry cat while playing an alphabet game, in a whimsical tale distinguished by Murray's dramatically exaggerated yet brilliantly colored illustrations. Especially recommended for children ages 2 to 8.
