5.0 out of 5 stars A female MC with something to say worth listening to
I bought this CD feeling skeptical because of her name. I was wondering if she was even legit. But then, I came to this website and saw that she is creditable. She has three CD's and they all have great ratings. I bought it, and I heard that, behind her thick southern accent, were words that had meaning. She definetly has talent. I love Lil' Kim and Trina, but...

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing to enquire about here!!!!
This was just what i expected after hearing the first single "Where them dollars at". Come on , that is so plain and simple. I could write that song. If boo wants minds to inquire , shes going to have to come up with better songs and lyrics than this. I heard all this stuff already. I won't even talk about the beats. If you want this I think you should listen...

I love Lil' Kim and Trina, but Gangtsa Boo is more of a legit MC than they are. She isn't pop. She is underground, which makes it easier to believe when she talks about doing "thug activities". She is really keeping it underground and she can throw down on the mic better then even some men. I recommend this CD because rap, in essence, is going to Hell. The game is getting crowded and with all these new rappers going mainstream, Gangsta Boo keeps it how rap should be, real and underground. She is the best. It is $15.00 bucks worth spent.

CD highlights include: Enquiring Minds, Don't Stand so Close to Me, F**k You, Where Dem Dollas At?, The ones close Know the Most, High off that Weed, Be Real, Nasty Trick, Money and the Powder, and the Where Dem Dollas at Bass Remix

4.0 out of 5 stars Hypnotize Minds, April 21, 2005
By
Carltouis Stevenson (Angeles Mesa, Los Angeles) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Enquiring Minds (Audio CD)
Three 6 Mafia's own first lady Gangsta Boo's first solo release was her time to shine and she sparkled everywhere. As like all Hypnotize Minds' releases, the production was done entirely by D.J. Paul & Juicy J, whom as well is heard throughout this lp. Enquiring Minds did have an anthem within from "Where Dem Dollas At" which sounds like it was made for strippers. "Oh No" featuring Fatal of Outlawz is an eye opener with the glass breaking effects in the song. Boo stick to the crunk style that Three 6 fans are used to with titles like "Don't Stand So Close" and "Who We Be" featuring the Prophet Posse. Crunchy Black and Project Pat team up with Gangsta Boo on "Be Real" and "This Is Personal". "High Off That Weed" is another crunk title where she explains her hobby of smoking. Influenced, lead, and taught by Paul and Juicy kept her in the right direction. Gangsta Boo answered all questions concerning her and the Mafia on this 21 track disc. With finess, she flexed her strength as a solo artist as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absoluetly Amazing!!!, May 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Enquiring Minds (Audio CD)
I bought this cd when i listened to her rap verse on the song "bwa" by Foxy Brown and Mia X. I'm very happy i did. her deep "ghetto" voice and lyrics explicitly explain "ghetto" life. my favorite song on the album is "money and the powder". this song talks about her cocaine dealer days. other amazing songs are "don't stand so close" (Featuring Tear Da Club Up Thugs). the album rules because the entire Three-6-Mafia, Prophet Posse, and Tear Da Club Up Thugs make their apperance on the cd. "n@#$a yeah know" (Featuring T. Rock) rules too because he raps fast so Gangsta Boo does too. "Where Dem Dollaz At?" (Featuring DJ Paul and Juicy J) is another really hot song as for "I'll be the other Woman" (Featuring Mary J. Blige), "Nasty Trick", "The ones close know most", and "Oh No" (Featuring Fatal). Not everyone enjoys the music i do so buy at your own risk.

5.0 out of 5 stars damn!!!!!!!, January 27, 1999

This review is from: Enquiring Minds (Audio CD)
just as i suspected, this tape isn't off the hook, it's off the hinges. three-6-mafia is my favorite group ever. i have alll three-6-mafia albums, prophet posse, the kaze, and indo g, and they are all top notch hardcore gangsta rap at its finest. this along with the albums i just mentioned stay in my cd player at all times. every time i listen to it, it gets better. the best songs are "who we be" and "don't stand so close to me". the whole prophet posse is on this cd. i dont know what else to say. the label is called hypnotize minds, & that's exactly what they do. Boo is a much better lyrisist than foxy & kim put together. if you like gangsta rap, you better get this. also look out for "Tear da club up thugs", the new album out feb.2

5.0 out of 5 stars Gangsta Boo's solo debut always a classic, November 13, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Enquiring Minds (Audio CD)
I don't understand why this album receives such mixed reveiws. This is undoubtedly the best album she ever put out. Her lyrics were at their best on this album, and the beats have such a dirty south bounce to them. I love her style because she does not just settle on weak sexual lyrics, like other females in the industry. She's also a true gangsta rapper.

5.0 out of 5 stars We say Buy It ... Prophet Posse, January 23, 1999
This review is from: Enquiring Minds (Audio CD)
This female rapper is a part of the group Three 6 Mafia. I listen to it over and over, and I can't find any flaws. How can anyone say that this is a bad album. DJ Paul and Juicy J always have some nice tracks. Add the lyrics of Gangsta Boo ... Southern Flavor ... Believe That!!!
