Ensayos escogidos is a collection of some of the best essays written by one of the main british writers of the XX century, George Orwell. In it are contained such classics as ‘The lion and the unicorn’ and ‘Inside the Whale’, and this collection of essays offers some crucial elements to understanding some of his more well known books, such as 1984 or Animal Farm, because we can see the historical references that would later be immortalized by Orwell’s pen in his fiction works.
