I absolutely love this product. It would be great for traveling because it is large enough to hold a passport with extra room to spare. As a teacher, my intended use is to hold my cell phone, pen, lunch $$ and small notepad. I've bought the standard id pouches before but they don't have enough room and the quality is poor. This is top quality, extremely well made and I'm so excited I bought it!!!

This little pouch was perfect for our recent family cruise to the Caribbean. I bought one for each member of the family. We used them for our passports, and ship I.D. They can also hold money, keys, cellphones, etc.. I plan on using mine for the beach, too! A great deal!

I bought the blue one for my son and the purple for his gf. My son is using this during his Germany trip. Plenty of space for his passport, medicine, and money!

This passport / travel wallet will easily hold a passport, credit cards, money, etc. It works well for what it was designed to do. Usually one of my older sons will wear this when traveling, with our emergency funds and photocopies of our passport. Neither of them like having that responsibility, as the travel wallet is uncomfortable and bulky underclothing, and awkward over clothing (which is why I mark the it down to 3 stars.)

What I've learned since ordering this travel wallet and others, is that what makes sense practically is for one person (me) to hold all of the family members' passports/tickets/boarding passes. I organize them oldest to youngest to help expedite going through immigration, security, and boarding. The bulkiness of so many passports is not conducive to this style of travel wallet.

___

Update two years later: The above still holds true, but I'm changed my review from 3-stars to 4-stars because the item has held up REALLY well. Even though it is bulky and uncomfortable, it gets the job done -- especially when just one of my kids is traveling alone, and I'm not holding all the passports.

I tie this neck wallet to the front of my wheelchair. It hangs between my feet.
I carry about
18 cards shared between the front pocket and the small zipper pocket.
See-through compartment - 8 cards, and my cash clip
Short zipper pocket - 10 cards.
Then I carry about 5 notecards, 5 checks, 20 shuttle tickets, and 5 business cards in the tall zipper pocket. Each group of items is paper-clipped with large paper clip.
Pen hangs off the side.
I love this thing. I use it every single day. When I board the busses and train.
The cord is very strong. The cord has a nice ball shaped, button activated clincher that works well.

Complaints?
Only one complaint: the zippers are very, very cheap and only lasted a month or so. Now the zipper just comes undone every time I zip them closed. Both zipper are the same, I think the top zipper lasted a little longer.
I still use it for my only wallet.

I have used this from August 2012 through February 2013. It is now March and I think I might purchase another one just to use the zipper function again. For the price and the functionality and the fact that I shall buy another one... I give this 5 stars.

This was just what I was looking for. We flew to NY and this was a big help in keeping my identification and boarding pass readily available. I have a 1 year old and this allowed me to keep my hands free to care for her but still have easy access to the stuff I need. The zip pockets are great, so you don't have to worry about things falling out. Just what I expected.

You aren't saving over $10 by buying this for $5. No sane person would ever spend $14.99 on this. It's worth the $5, but let's be realistic. Expect $5 quality, not $14.99 quality.

As far as the bag itself...it's made out of a thick canvas. Another reviewer stated that it was "unnecessarily heavy". I do tend to agree with that assessment. It also has a zipper, pouch, and an ID pouch. Does not come with a pen as shown, you'll have to supply your own. Perhaps the pen was an extra $10, hence the savings!

That said...it serves its purpose. It's not pretty. It's very utilitarian. ID, passport (though perhaps not a full sized international land/sea/air one). Maybe a set of keys and some cash. Phone. A band aid or two. A travel sized lip balm or pack of tylenol. It's big enough to fit several little necessities in. The quality is such that I don't expect to have this for years to come, but I'm not going to get too fussy over a $5 pouch or act surprised that it's not the greatest quality.

It's okay. If you're okay with okay, this is your bag.

I Purchased a few different styles of these tote bags. They are all pretty thin nylon material, but they seem to be very sturdy. Have had no problems with them in the last month. It is nice that they are so thin as I can fold them up and stick them into the bag I am using and that way I always have an extra one (or a bigger/smaller one) without taking up hardly any space at all. (I think my lipstick weighs more). Colors are as described. They are great to put one in your purse (just in case), baby bag, walks, etc. I use mine for work (nursing). I use a smaller one for my lunch, larger one for my books, accessories, etc. At tne end of the day, my lunch one folds up to the size of a small ziploc bag (and not much thicker) and goes into a pocket of my bigger one. I have been doing this for a month with absolutely no signs of any problems. I even bought two of the neck pouches to keep my ID, credit card, keys in while working - they are perfect as well. string was a little "scratchy" at first - but one run through the washer and that is all better.

Are you planning on backpacking, hopping trains and moving by foot to get to your destination. This is the best, light weight, below the radar little bag to have. Clip it to your belt and you are ready to go, pull your t shirt over and no one will notice it. Small enough for just the essential. Water bottle in one hand, backpack and map on the other, this can go around your neck under you shirt or you can manage to clip it to your belt and tuck in on your side waist. Worth it, cheap efficient does its job.

I haven't actually used this product yet. I plan to use it on a trip to Italy in the Spring. I bought one for me and my daughter, who is going with me. It was a great buy for the money and made of good quality materials. The neck wallet was exactly as it was pictured and descibed. I find these reviews to be helpful when making an Amazon purchase! Thanks Amazon!
